“I’m so, so sorry about this” he muttered.
Toph pursed her lips, her expression unreadable.
“Really living up to your title of idiot, huh?” she said quietly.
Zuko bowed his head. “Yes. I really am.”
“Did I distract you that much?” she sounded worried.
Zuko’s eyes lifted to meet the pulling of her brows. He stepped toward her.
“No, it’s not you, I just—” he gasped. “It’s been a lot.”
“Being Fire Lord is a lot" she said, her jaw tightening, "A lot of responsibility.”
Zuko moved to lift her face towards him, but she resisted.
“It is” his voice cracked, fingers lingering by her chin, then he whispered, “but I’m responsible to you too.”
Toph’s body tensed, her eyes widening.
“I was afraid you’d say that” she sighed..

“Wow, look at that cleavage!” Sokka shouted, pointing to a large, rocky outcrop. Aang stepped forward excitedly and squinted his eyes.
“I don’t see a lady” he muttered.
Katara rolled her eyes.
“I think he meant rock cleavage” she clarified, shaking her head at her partner. Aang blushed.
“What? Is there another type of cleavage?” Toph asked, stepping forward to be by Katara’s side.
Katara hesitated. “Well… yeah” she mumbled, her tan skin turning pink.
“What? Like this one?” Toph purred, placing her hands on her chest and squeezing.
Katara gasped.
“Toph!” she screeched, hands reaching to cover Toph’s display.
Sokka, Aang, and Zuko instinctively looked at Toph, who had escaped Katara’s grasp to shimmy her shoulders playfully.
“What’s wrong Katara? Don’t you like the cleavage?” Toph teased, giggling hysterically as she ran away from an exceedingly embarrassed Katara.
Suki crumpled over with laughter.
Zuko watched, enthralled. He was sure he was going to pass out.
