Got me imagining Older Toph and reader who's so unashamedly down bad for her and doesn't hide it.

“What do you want?”  Zuko snapped.

The man looked at his supreme leader repentantly.

“Good evening, Fire Lord Zuko. I apologise for the intrusion after… such an eventful day” Shyu paused, glancing at Toph. “A number of issues were brought to our attention that we have come to address.”

“Can’t it wait until the morning, Shyu?” Iroh said, failing to mask his irritation.

Shyu cleared his throat. “I would have preferred to, Master Iroh. However…” he paused, “There has been some dissent following the Agni Kai’s outcome. And an urgent development that needs to be brought to the Fire Lord’s consideration immediately.”

“Developments?” Iroh muttered.

“Dissent?” Zuko repeated.
