Someone on Reddit said I'm just as bad as sexist males, bigots and incels for matching energy.

All I did was say that I'm going to refer to males as 'males' especially if they refer to themselves as 'men' and women as 'females'

Some males in the replies even say that they're not offended by the term 'males'. So what's the problem?! How am I being sexist if the term is not even offensive to males 💀

He then said that those males are incels. So I pointed out and said that they are still males and it could also be a male who is married so not necessarily an incel.

Then he started sharing definition of incel. Then he contradicted himself because incels means involuntarily celibate who can't find romantic interest which they desire. 💀

Males who are single, dating and married could have misogynistic views. I don't know why he wanted to only blame incels. Maybe the word he was going for is 'misogynists'?

Anyway, are women expected to stay quiet and tolerate those males who refer to themselves as 'men' and referring women as 'females'?

I know it's fine if there's no double standard. For example, the terms male and female or men and women in the same sentence.

He's been going at it for hours calling me sexist, stupid, etc. I'm not joking when I say he's been sending me insults and trying to make me feel bad for HOURS (at least 7). Now I'm wondering if the account is a bot 💀 I'm low-key surprised he hasn't called me a misandrist yet.

I know I shouldn't have replied in the first place 💀

Everytime I try to block the account, I get an error message. So I've turned off my notifications. I'll try to block again tomorrow 😐

Misogyny is really on ALL social media platforms. I thought I would be safe after deleting Twitter, TikTok and Instagram.

Some people really don't want women to speak up, call out memes or 'jokes' relating to rape culture. There's also 'memes' or posts distorting stats in favour of males. It seems like there's a lot of those on Reddit.

I'm still on reddit so I still see misogyny from time to time. At least my Instagram, TikTok and Twitter accounts have been deactivated 😅

I do like Reddit sometimes. I'm active on the friendships subreddit. I like to reply to people's post about their friends (how it's okay to let go of some friendships or just sharing some life experience).

Don't try to hard especially with male centered women - they're the kind of people who would be on time when they go on dates with a male but would be at least 30 minutes late when they meet their girl friends. Of course, they are other worser examples. I'm not going to get into that.

Okay fine, another one. Too tired to meet a girl friend after work but somehow not tired to make plans with some male. There's really so many other examples.

The thing that I find so exhausting about "if the roles were reversed" is that the roles will NEVER truly be reversed. There is too great a difference between a man doing something, his motivations, his capabilities, and a woman doing something with her motivations and capabilities. Fundamentally a woman breaking a restraining order to show up at her ex's wedding will never be the same threat as a man doing the same. Not when women commit only 10-20% of violent crimes and carry guns at half the percentage men do. Not when the average man can overpower the average woman.
