Honestly, I'm sick of seeing people writing cruel things and fantasies about torturing Laethil. It feels like people just have nowhere to put their aggression and sadistic fantasies. And no, it's not always fanfiction. Fanfiction has tags, and if Laethil is being tortured, I just won't read it (or maybe I will if it's a plot-driven moment, like in a story about saving Laethil from orcs, and not just a stupid savoring of violence "because Laethil deserved it"). But unfortunately, there can also be comments on YouTube or Twitch, and there is no way to filter them out. I can't block those who write this. So, sometimes I have to see someone's fantasies about how they would like to lock up Laethil and torture him or a description of how Laethil should be brutally killed. Or something like that. And this is not a discussion of what will happen next in this story. This is just concentrated hatred. WTF? What's wrong with you people? Maybe it's better to write something good about the characters you like, rather than spitting venom at the characters other people like?

Headcanon: Yarris can actually summon multiple elementals. And that little fire elemental was actually his pet. I have a headcanon that his name was Sparky. Also, Yarris can summon a very powerful fire elemental and his name is Infernallaugh. Yes, that's a reference.

I'm not just shippin' Yarris and Laethil, but I have a theory that they actually had a close relationship. Not just the vaguely worded "special relationship" (that could mean anything at all), but were actually very close to each other. Leathil was very important to him. And not so little importance, since he needed his forgiveness, not just "he would have brought me back and gives me lots of money". Not necessarily the fact that they were lovers. It could have been a very close friendship, an asexual connection (but aside from this theory I ship them as lovers). That feeling when someone is too important, even if they've done something awful to you in the past. That makes Yarris' acting logical, after all.
