"Oh," groaned Electra. "There’s a lunchbox on my track." He began a slow brake, and his components followed suit.
(Krupp snickered behind him. ”Meals on wheels.”)
"Excuse me," said Electra irritably, to the sleepy Trolley. "You’re on my track."
When he got no response, he fizzled a little and emitted a slight zap.
"Excuse me!" he bleated in a multi-tone. "This is my track. What are you doing here?”
He got a good look at the peculiar engine. “Are you even a train? What are you, some kind of bus on rails?”
Okay yes Graham while he was refurbished and looked as well as felt young again, the guy still could sleep like an old man! Such to the point he made a late night run and this area of the tracks was quiet enough to make some extra winks before making it to his depot. That is until the zap jolted through his own electrical system. “Hey whose they wiseguy?!” The New York trolley exclaimed jumping up.
"Last time I checked there wasn’t anyone’s name on it…" He muttered shaking his head. "Watch where throw the switch there, you nearly made me blew a fuse. They hardly make the ones I use anymore." If Graham was back in when he was fresh off the workshop floor, the electric engine would certainly see knuckles flying. But age gave wisdom and slightly more tolerance.
"Actually I am a trolley. One of the original Brooklyn Trollies to be exact from New York City." He explained, adjusting the straps that held his custom battery pack. "You do know there are civil was to wake rolling stock up. Or ones tolerance for anything seems to have fizzled down since I was put in storage."
“Fuses?!” laughed Electra, perhaps a little callously, noticing all at once the relic locomotive’s pantograph. “You run on fuses? Oh dear. I suppose I should find that refreshing-- every other engine around here runs on either steam or diesel. I thought there had to be more electric engines around here-- though not one as... classic... as you.” He smirked.

Indignantly, Krupp wheeled in front of the locomotive. “Electra needs no help,” he said stiffly, perhaps a little threateningly— though it was clear that the situation was quite the contrary, and Electra was making quite the spectacle of it.
"Not from you," snapped Joule.
"Electra must cool down," said Volta— her voice was a little more sing-song than those of her fellow electric cars. Beside her, Joule approached Ashley curiously.
"Electra has become overloaded. Over-heated. Electra is fuming," she explained. "Electra did not win the race."
Sensing the tone of the armament truck, Ashley stepped back a little bit. The last thing she had intended to do was anger anyone. She cursed herself for putting out her cigarette as it had been her last one for the day.
"S-sorry.." she said, clearing her throat. "But to be fair, I know how it feels…. a-at least from a coach’s view.. Me and my engine, we lost against Poppa and Dustin! And that really stings, to get beaten by an older racer… but it is just a race in the end…" Ashley shifted uncomfortably; she’d been able to give relatively sound support and advice to most anyone, but had trouble believing that today would be as good as any other day. "… Also, maybe it might help to be able to see what you were doing? It is nearing night-time, and this tunnel’s lights aren’t very good.."
"How dare you--," began Purse, but Electra waved a hand for him to be silent.
"N-no... the wor d s are nwelcome," he sputtered. He was beginning to settle. "It's those. Steamers. Rrrr-rrr-rruining! everything. And that Caboose,,,,,,,, if it weren't for him, I would have--," The lightning bolts on his chest component rolled and flashed, before speeding up. "I w as built. To be the fas-s-test engine in the world! En-nough games, I szszay. I wan t a straight race. No cars or coaches. Locomotive against locomotive. But I suppose--,,,,, the Traxes wouldn't like that." He smirked dryly.
As Electra and Pearl danced, Pearl felt his electricity make her sparkle and shine like no one had ever made her before. “Dance with me, Electra…” Pearl whispered, “Hold me in your arms…” electra-the-electric-train
Electra grabbed Pearl's silken-gloved hand and pulled her into a strange, fluid dance as they glided along the rails. His conductor crackled intently and he thought to himself that racing was a lot like dancing.

Electra’s components flicked their heads toward Ashley in unison, in a quiet, scrupulous glare. The electric train had most certainly not been expecting company— aside from his attending components— in this state of physical and mental turmoil. Another funk of sparks burst from him, briefly illuminating a red pauldron. Wrench was fiddling with something on his back. He smelt smoke— whether it was coming from Ashley or himself, he didn’t know.
"I’m— sztill. Here. „„, Yes. No„ don’t t-ouch me." He interrupted his own words, his head making several quick, twitching, tipping motions, as if he were trying to tip errors out of his head.
It became apparent he was having some kind of voltage overload. His chest screen momentarily zapped out and back again.

"Okay, okay, no touching.." Ashley said as she backed up, both from the shower of sparks and the combined glaring of all the components. She put out her cigarette, watching as the electric engine was tended to by the repair truck of his bunch. The smoking car figured they would’ve left for some other locale that would’ve been more exciting after everything that happened; apparently that wasn’t quite the case.
"Uh…. If you don’t mind me asking," she started, "Is there.. anything I can do to help?"
