OK so first things first, @symphonic-power-metal-bracket just in case you missed this 😅.

Secondly some trivia nobody asked for but I am not normal about certain people so yeah, might as well say it 😅.

Full disclosure I am responsible for submitting all three songs from Liefde voor Muziek that are now in this tournament.

And now the trivia part just in case you're new to this 😅. Liefde voor Muziek is a TV show in Belgium where essentially they invite singers and each of them covers songs from the others. And in 2018 they invited Sharon den Adel who is the lead singer of metal band Within Temptation. And then they published everything on Spotify so this allowed me to submit it here 😈.

The fun thing is that none of these covers are metal per se - probably because the originals aren't metal either. And at least Sharon kept in line with the originals (unlike some of the other guests from the TV-show which turned songs from Within Temptation in non metal songs).

But this only goes to show that Sharon has a great voice and she could technically sing any genre it's just that the metal community got lucky 😁.

So yeah, if you find yourself listening to these and thinking 'huh this gal has a great voice too bad she mostly sings metal and I am not into that'... Send me a message and we'll see what we can do about that 😜. And by this I mean I am 100% willing to recommend some songs she sings which are more palatable for non metal fans.

I know these were randomly assigned but phew... This is going to make me very religious like somehow Sharon won over Exit Eden by a small margin but Lana? And a fucking gorgeous Lana song for that matter?

On the bright side I won't be mad either way I guess 😅.

But I am still emotional over Just What I Need Tonight ok? I don't necessarily condone the whole having a one night stand thing(if you're into that more power to you but I couldn't do it. Probably. Don't leave me alone with a hot guy, too many Martinis and this song because who knows what might happen 😅). But it's still a nice song and somehow it's cuter with a girl singing it because it's not very traditional so to speak and yeah... Look this won't make sense for too many people but Sharon got naughty in exactly 2 songs in 30 years and this is one of them(not counting Enter here I know a case could be made for that but that wasn't her) so yeah... At least give it a chance ok 😅

NOOOOOOO who put these two together this is evil 😭😭😭. But my job here is to do propaganda and yes this time it's maybe a bit hopeless but you know what some people involved in this poll said in other circumstances, there's always a sparkle of hope if you just believe or something like that.

The reason I submitted Virgin State of Mind to this is because I figured not all the people that know Within Temptation know Sharon. And as someone who did research on the matter, they are missing out. Unfortunately there's not much of her out there that could be submitted but yeah I did my best 😅.

Now, why specifically this song? Other than the fact that I had a tiiiinyyyy bit of an obsession with it last year? Because one of the best things that Sharon does is this mixture of vulnerability and force somehow,and the way she switches from one to the other in seconds. Case in point how broken and kinda fed up with everything she is here with "do you think I'm sexy" and then she blasts the next part with "do you think I really care".
