" Ooh… I see… ” So they weren’t human inventions. Following his half sister around, his hand childishly found her shirt hem — gripping it with a delicate touch, as if needy, yet afraid to question. The boy squinted at those campers, before getting a devious idea.
Slipping away silently, he picked up a shirtload of pinecones, climbing a nearby tree. Hidden safely in the branches, a well aimed shot plunked one of the Ares’ campers in the head.
" Oi! Where the hell’d that come from!? ” The Ares kid huffed, and soon all of them were pelted by multiple pinecones — sending them, almost comically so, running for cover within their cabin.
And afterward, Killua slunk right back to her side, holding her shirt hem with the same touch as before.
Not minding the small hand holding onto her shirt, the elder girl was planning on waiting for the more brutal campers to pass the two Zeus children by, but the loss of weight on her shirt made her turn. Her younger brother had disappeared, and she glanced around her briefly until she heard the shouts of the Ares campers.
Watching as pinecone after pinecone rained down on them as they ran for cover, she noticed her younger half brother slinking back to her side, and hummed under her breath. Pretty good for him to be able to pull a trick like that and not be spotted. Impressive. Giving him a smile, she reached over and ruffled his hair.
"That was pretty good, kid," she laughed, retracting her hand and resting it at her side. "Not many people can do such a thing to the Ares campers and get away with it. I think you and I will get along just fine," she giggled, before continuing to lead him on. "Anyways... I'll take you in the direction of the Pegasus Stables, then we'll circle back and around to the Mess Hall..."
jakenchii:
"For Alluka? I bet she’d be happy if she got to see it." It was just like Killua to do something so great for her little sister. She smiles to herself at the thought.
"I have an idea!" She exclaims, pumping an arm up in the air happily. "I only read about it, but I’d be able to find the scenery that it’s supposed to thrive in! We could find it together! What do you think?"
Going silent for a few brief moments, Killua thought about what Gon had proposed; it was a slightly awkward way to get to know each other once again after they'd met up abruptly, but then again, she had no other ideas on where to find the flowers. This was, most likely, her best shot at even getting to see them, let alone bring one back to Alluka.
"Sure, why not? It'll be fun," she commented, smiling at the other female before crossing her arms behind her head. " So? Where are the flowers? We'd better get going if we're ever gonna get to them. "
look who's alive it's me
Upon hearing the last statement, Gon looks to Killua in a rather irritated manner, though it wasn’t far too serious. She had missed being teased by Killua - at least, a little.
"I wanted to give it to Mito-san as a present. I’m a little surprised that you’re looking for it, too." Though, maybe Killua had a similar idea.
"Well, I'm not trying to get the flower for myself. Alluka wants to see it, but I'm not about to go dragging her around just to find them, so..." she trailed off, gesturing to herself. "I'm here by myself, looking for one of the flowers," she added, waving her hand around nonchalantly.
Pausing for a brief moment, Killua raised an eyebrow at Gon, folding her arms behind her head. "Do you know where the flower is? I asked around, but no one really had any idea where it is. I'd go off and look for it, but I can't risk going in the wrong direction, y'know?"
" I’ve got half a mind to shut down this establishment myself — if only to reteach their chefs! ” He had noticed something wrong, from across the damn dining hall, with the poor girl’s meat. A simple glance while passing by proved it to be too bloody to serve. ” That meat is oozing blood — not proper at all! “
Killua could hear someone complaining from across the dining hall, but she ignored him in favour of eating. Really, it was food and it tasted alright; why couldn't he shut up and let her enjoy it? It's not like it was poisoned, or could make her sick. Well, it could make her sick if it was really bad, but she chose to ignore that fact.
"Mm," She shakes her head. "I never likes studying all that much, but Mito-san said I had been neglecting my studies long enough." And, it gave her something to help distract her from her thoughts of what had happened not too long ago.
She smiles brightly at those words. “Hey, you’re looking for the flower, right? We should look for it together!” She also wanted to apologize for what happened once more, for she felt like she hadn’t done so enough. She wanted to try to take this chance to make up for what had happened.
"Well, Mito-san was right about that; you didn't study at all," she laughed softly, leaving out that fact that she also did not study. Well, with what the two of them had previously been doing, there hadn't been any time to study. Especially in the later parts of their adventures...
Shaking her head at her own thoughts, Killua rubbed the back of her neck in a show of awkwardness. "Yeah, I guess we could..." she mumbled, before pausing. "Why are you looking for a flower? Shouldn't you be studying or something?" she asked with a teasing tone, a sly smile on her face.
He’s extremely sleepy, so he hoped she wouldn’t mind him flopping onto his bed. “ Mmn… I locked the front door and my bedroom door was closed… ” Sleepy, but not forgetful.
Yawning, he blinked at her, azure hues tinted with sleepiness. ” I could offer you a place to sleep for the night… But… ” A yawn permeated the air. ” Mom would get mad… “
Huh, so even though he was half asleep, he could still remember he locked the door. Pausing for another few seconds, she decided to get out of the boy's house as soon as humanly possible. "Uh, yeah, whatever. I guess I'll just show myself out, then?" she asked with a nervous laugh.
... Where was the door in this place? Killua had entered through the window... Strolling over to the bedroom door, she pushed it open, cautiously and silently stepping into the hallway beyond it.
“ … What are you doing in my room? ” Nevermind who she was — how did she get in? ” My father’s going to come home soon from work — if he finds me alone with a girl in the house, he’ll think the wrong thing… ” Even though Nagisa is far from capable of such a thing.
This... wasn't the person she was looking for. The one that was holding Card 28 was supposed to be here, not this blue-haired kid. God, Bisky was going to give her an earful once she made her way back--
No, wait, the information that guy told them could've been inaccurate... With a sigh, Killua waved her hand nonchalantly. "Door was open."

" Hyaa! ” Falling off the bed, he whined. ” Wasn’t sleeping! Too wired to sleep, ” was his explanation as he rubbed his behind, listening to the thunder. Thunder was always comforting to him — now, he knew why, at least.
" Well isn’t it just a bit after lunch? We have time, don’t we? ” He mumbled, listening to her mini-lesson. Celestial bronze, huh? He’d heard of such things in mythologies — like Hercules. Or something like that.
" Mmn… Hey. So are the legends true? Like… Hercules and Arachnae? Or were they just human made legends? ” Demigods were real, he could believe it — he was living damned testament to it.
But while Hercules could be a demigod — but his tale could have easily been falsified by humans. He’d assumed the story of Athena turning Arache into a spider was false — why would a God curse a human?
"Sure it's only a bit after lunch, but Camp is pretty big, and I have a lot to show you. C'mon, stand up, lets go," she spoke as she lifted him onto his feet, pushing him out the door and only pausing to answer his next question.
"Hercules and Arachnae? Oh yeah, they're both real. I'm pretty sure Hercules is dead-- Can't keep track of anything here, though, so don't take my word for that. And the creatures never truly die, they just... keep regenerating, I suppose," she mumbled, seemingly content with her word choice.
Using her hand to gesture around, she started with the cabins. "These are the cabins-- As you've probably guessed, there's one for each God or Goddess, and that's where their kids stay. People who are unclaimed are stuffed in the Hermes cabin, though."
Staring down the pathway, she made a face at a few burly campers that were strolling along it. Some Ares campers; they always gave Killua a hard time. She didn't particularly mind, but it was bothersome to deal with them.

" Rip off. What’s the good of knowing you have a dad now if you might never see him? ” His tone was laced, extremely subtly, with hurt. Looks like he might never get to know, or at least meet, either of his parents. He’d been content with that at the orphanage, but now… He just felt lonely.
But this was his half sister, so at least he had a sibling. Sort of. Someone to talk to. Flopping backwards on the bed, staring at the ceiling, he blinked. ” Killua. No last name — orphanage never gave me one. They never got my mom’s before she died. Thirteen, starting today at least. “
Rolling over, he dragged the pillow on the bed close to himself, practically curling around it as if it were a makeshift body pillow. Watching her quietly, he eventually closed his eyes to the world. ” … “
Killua was obviously pained by her statement about the god parents. Even if they were half mortal, it would be nice to get to know where their power came from — moreso than the mythologies or the tales. Straight from the sources. But no, apparently the gods had no time for their half mortal children.
Growing up without a mother, too, made the fact all the more harder on Killua. The orphanage nannies bathed him, clothed him, fed him — all from the second he was born. He was never adopted — who wanted a kid who was constantly kicked out or suspended from school, riddled with ADHD and dyslexia? No sir — not these parents, in the city he grew up in.
While Killua wasn't exactly someone that felt pity for others, she could see herself in her half-brother's position; disappointed, and hurt. It was enough for her to sit up and lean over, ruffling his hair lightly. Well, luckily for her, she had experienced a family-- One that wasn't entirely healthy, but still.
"Huh, so you're called Killua, too? Dad's either got a real bad sense of humour, or he completely forgot about me and named you Killua, too," she laughed to herself, smirking as a loud boom of thunder resounded. It appeared that she had offended her father; while it was a dangerous thing to do, she found it amusing.
Noticing how he closed his eyes, she stood from her bed and pushed him off his. "C'mon, now's not the time to sleep. I've gotta show you around before dinner time, and see if there's some sort of weapon you'd like," she huffed, pulling a dagger out from the pile of armour in the corner.
"See, this is celestial bronze. It doesn't affect humans, but it can harm both creatures and demigods. So you've gotta be careful."

Humming, laying back on the bed, he counted his blessings. No more school, no more orphanage, no more being different. No more having to hear about his ADHD, no more having to take tests for his dyslexia. It was all a godsend. Literally.
Hearing the door open, he sat up, legs dangling off the bed. The girl really did look like him — he just had a more silver tint to his hair — her’s was more pink. Flouncing over, he circled around her before….
Flopping on the bed again.
" Hello. ” Grinning, the boy kicked his legs back and forth. He was childish, a mischievous glint to his eyes — but his air was one of a true leader. He would just need time to grow into his powers. A kind of hopeful grin rested on his lips, eyes lighting up.
“ Do they come down and see us? Y’know… Our god parent? ” Which they most likely didn’t. Especially Zeus, what with Hera’s wrath and all. But the childish face he held just proved he really did want to meet his parent. Or, one of them at least.
The boy in front of her was energetic, just like most demigods were on their first days at Camp. She had been the same, if she could remember correctly... Stripping off her armour, Killua tossed it into one corner, raising an eyebrow at him.
"Our god parent?" she asked, before shaking her head. "Sometimes they do, but usually they don't. If they ever do, it's like... a surprise visit, I guess," she ended up mumbling, staring up at the changing patterns on the ceiling. Sighing to herself, she took a seat on a bed, crossing her legs.
"Enough about that. Who're you? I'm Killua Zoldyck, fifteen. I've been at Camp for about... a year and a half, now," she spoke, leaning back with a sigh. If she had a younger half brother, now, what was she supposed to do? Take him on a tour? Take him to the head of the Camp?
No, she decided to go ask someone else what they did with their new siblings. Maybe one of the Hermes kids, they would probably know the best.

What an adventure, Camp Half-Blood! So this is what being a demigod meant — a safe, enclosed camp; far from civilisation and threats… All for children with unnatural, godly powers. While one of the camp counselors began talking to Killua, he paid little to no attention. His sapphire orbs were glancing out towards the rest of the camp.
A stomp of the counselor’s foot caught his attention, making him finally listen. So he’d be placed into Hermes’ cabin? At least until claiming. Right. Whatever that meant. The moment a girl that looked all too similar to him passed, a very funny thing happened.
Lightning flashed, directly overhead of Killua — thunder rumbled, shook the entire camp. Kids were rushing out of their cabins, or dropping things and running over to see who Zeus himself had claimed.
" What was that? ” It was deathly silent after the rumbling of thunder and the lightning, except for Killua’s question. Despite the relieving of the Pact of the Big Three, all those years ago, by one famous demigod named Percy Jackson; it was extremely rare for the Big Three cabins to be filled.
Within the past ten years alone, only three had ever filled up the cabins. Three girls. Being that this was a thirteen year old boy, claimed by Zeus himself… It was different. Strange.
' You were claimed by Zeus... You are Zeus' child. '
Zeus… That was the biggest god, right? The head god? Killua was the youngest demigod to be a son or daughter of Zeus, now… Heh, this would be fun.
Glancing at the girl who looked too much like him, he said nothing on it, preferring to find out who she was later. For now, however, his eyes trained on all the demigods — they were staring at him, faces a mixture of awe, fright, and utter annoyance.
God, would this be fun.
Being led through the crowd, holding only a small bag and his skateboard; the male hummed — not full of himself, but out of simple thought. It was a bad habit to hum when thinking, after all. Sitting on a bed in the Zeus cabin, he was given until dinnertime to get himself situated — a reasonable amount of time, considering it was just after lunch.
Border Patrol was a job that Killua found highly boring; every Tuesday, it was keep watch over the pine tree that was there, with the Golden Fleece glittering on it. Nothing ever happened, no one ever appeared. She thought that there should be no reason for the job-- But events had happened in the past that led the camp leaders to be tense, she knew.
So she did the job, only occasionally complaining about it.
Seeing a boy a distance away with hair that was shockingly similar to hers, she wandered over. Perhaps her mother had been daft enough to go and bed yet another God? With a sigh and a shake of her head, she continued on her way towards him--
-- Until she saw his eyes. A shocking blue, the same shade as hers.
A slightly disturbed expression on her face, the teen turned away from the boy that looked all too similar to her. The loud crack of thunder didn't bother her in the slightest-- Rather, it was the fact that he was her sibling-- no, half sibling. It was better to think of it that way.
Several minutes later, a demigod from the Hephaestus ran up to her, telling her that the 'higher ups' had told him to tell her to go meet 'the new Zeus kid'. With a sigh, she made her way into the Zeus cabin, only taking her armour helmet off and tossing it to the side once she was in.
Oh, and the new kid was there. "Yo."
Rubbing the back of her head, Gon admits in a rather sheepish tone, “Studying.” She had gone back to Whale Island to recollect her thoughts - and really, at that point in time, she needed to figure out what she wanted to do.
"It sounds like you’ve been doing well, I’m really glad…" She lets go of Killua completely, bouncing a bit in her steps.
"Studying?" she asked, blinking wide, blue eyes at Gon. "Wasn't expecting you to study. Did Mito-san dump a bunch of text books on you and tell you to finish them, or something?" Killua was only half joking; she knew Mito well enough to know that she wouldn't just give Gon a lot of work for no apparent reason.
"... Yeah. I'm glad you've been good, too..." she mumbled, a light flush appearing on her face. Even after a year, she was easily embarrassed. The fact itself was also embarrassing, so she refrained from thinking about it too much.
" You still need sleep. Sleep is good for you. ” She shouldn’t really talk, she rarely slept until begged by a close friend, or passing out from exhaustion. Her humming continued, fingers rubbing the silver hair lightly. Perhaps, because it was Killua (or Gon, even), she felt so motherly.
After a little, fingers delicately scratching at silver locks, tiers parted to let for a small, soothing melody. ” Amazing Grace… How sweet, the sound… That saved a wretch like me… I once… Was lost, but now, am found… Was blind, but now I see… “
" T’was Grace that lead my heart to fear… And Grace, my fears relieved… How precious did that Grace appear, the first hour I believed… Amazing Grace… How sweet, the sound… That saved a wretch like me… I once… Was lost, but now, am found… Was blind, but now I see… ” Her fingers never ceased their delicate touches to Killua’s head, her eyes closing as she repeated the soft lullaby.
"'s not like you sleep any more than I do," she mumbled, her eyes closing as she tucked her arms behind her head, making herself comfortable as she laid still. Well, if Kurapika insisted (and stayed until she was sure Killua was asleep), she could fall asleep if given a while. Hopefully, at least.
Hearing Kurapika sing was relaxing, and while she wasn't entirely comfortable with hands touching her head, she could relax knowing that it was someone that wouldn't harm her. Before she knew it, she was slowly drifting off, being lost in the sound of the melodic voice.
"Uhn!" Gon nods, her hands still on Killua’s shoulders, but she didn’t let go of her. "Did you and Alluka get to travel a lot? How is she?" She missed her friend perhaps too much - her heart was beating a hard against her chest, she felt like - if only from the excitement of all of this.
Gon hadn’t changed far too much herself. She’d grown taller, her hair slightly longer - but Mito had helped to keep it short.
She let out a quiet laugh at her friends enthusiasm, and gave Gon a bright smile. "Yeah, Alluka and I went around to a lot of places. She's good-- Palm's taking care of her," she said with a nod, before raising an eyebrow at Gon. "And what've you been doing?"
Gon really hadn't changed much. The thought relieved Killua, somehow, and she found herself relaxing slowly around her. Just like old times...? No, that was... still hard for her to think about. "So, Gon, what're you even doing here? You're the last person I'd expect to see here."
" Alright, bedtime. ” Unceremoniously, she dumped the girl into her bed, but was kind enough to take off her shoes and begin tucking her in. Sitting down on the edge of the bed, much like a mother would, her hand gently roved through silver locks.
“ Get to bed, you need your sleep… ” As if worried that she wouldn’t begin to rest, the girl began to hum, as if channeling her own mother, from what felt like so long ago. A tear brimmed up underneath closed lids, but she managed to tilt her head just so — just enough that Killua had no reason to view her tearing up.
Her voice remained steady as she hummed, a hand lightly running through her hair.
Killua let out a quiet huff of annoyance at being thrown on the bed. She didn't protest to Kurapika tucking her in, though she did find herself flushing lightly. She wasn't a little kid, dammit-- But being tucked in, like she was cared for by a loving mother... It was unfamiliar, and brought about unfamiliar feelings. It was almost... uncomfortable.
"I don't need sleep, I can go for a few days without it..." she mumbled, closing her eyes nonetheless. The girl had already gone a day without a good night's rest, and while she wouldn't admit it, she was starting to feel fatigued. She blamed Gon, really, for dragging her around so much...
The humming of Kurapika wasn't needed for her to fall asleep, but it was appreciated. It soothed her, the gentle tune that came from the elder blonde.
