Currently there's a commotion in the formerly bird app (tbh there are always things going on there) whether bbb doesn't have personalities and elementals are slowly taking over him. I guess the fundamental lies in those who see elementals as a separate entity (hence a lot of sibling headcanons) and those who perceive them as bbb's other persona. I personally go with the latter.
However, I do agree that M has reduced bbb into a cardboard. He used to be more whimsy and sassy in the OG series. I guess these are the consequences of turning your character into a gary stu, moreover when said character has seven distinctive sides (and we haven't even included the fusions).
M being indecisive as ever doesn't help the case too. I don't remember them clearing up the relationship between bbb and the elementals (you can correct me on that though). They might have started with 'elementals-are-bbb', but as elementals' popularity overshadow ori bbb, they may begin to consider the other option. M always tread on what's popular within the fandom instead of deciding for themselves, afterall.
My major criticism is that M needs to work on their writing instead of relying on hype moments and aura. But eh, I'll just keep my expectation low.
Abandoning my workload just to say that I think of Solhali now and then. I'm a huge sucker for younger one taking care of the older one. Let us all pamper Hali. He's the heart while Solar is the head. Halilintar's on the receiving end of endless teasing (and affection). His ruthless demeanor is merely a facade you have to trust me I've dissected his brain Hali is so kind. And Solar is the cool and confident Solar from Galaxy S1 (I have dissected his brain too if I close my eyes I don't see Solar from Sori). Solhali for the world.

power plants, solar-powered or wind-powered or others, create electrical energy. boboiboy literally has electricity as one of his elements. i fail to see the correlation here why taufan and solar, specifically, are chosen here. i don't think it matters that they're 'renewable'. water is also renewable. plants are also renewable as an organic source of energy. i can also argue how soil is renewable as well.
also am i the only one who considers it weird that solar out of everyone is stated to be energy efficient? did they just forget that solar's beam requires a MASSIVE chunk of boboiboy's energy.

for taufan, i understand if he requires minimum energy to use. wind is defined as a movement from air particles, and something so light does only require minimum energy to summon. even air resistance is often ignored in basic physics because of how light it is.

what is energy anyway?? and what does it have to do with 'elements'? and this is where i rant about physics. this is very long so only read it if you want to.
Energy is something created from movements (kinetic energy), yet it's also something required for movements (potential energy). It can't be created or destroyed, but it can be transferred, stored, and 'change'.
Generally, energy is defined by the amount of force used by something to change its position. We need energy to do activities, just like how electric machines need electricity to do their thing.
It can also be defined by the amount of power required to use over time. If you study physics you'd be familiar with W=F*S and W=P*t; two of the most basic equations for energy.
Energy's standard measurement is called joule. Like how time is measured with seconds, we count energy in joules.
What we refer to as 'renewable energy' is a source of energy that is generally always available due to the cycles in our earth. This generally refers to things in nature. The examples are solar power plants and wind turbine-based power plants. But not only that, biodiesel is also a renewable energy form that can be based from plants. And almost every power plant requires boilers, so steam is always present and water is always needed.
This is a roundabout way to explain it, but I still don't like how monsta calls solar and taufan renewable energies. BOBOIBOY IS RENEWABLE ENERGY HIMSELFFF GRAAAHHH I'M LOSING MY MINDDD sorry.
Anyway, what about the elementals? Here I will categorize them as energy and not energy. You don't have to read this part if it's too confusing.
Halilintar; lightning, electricity. He is electrical energy. He is considered an energy, he can be defined with [ML²T⁻²]. Lightning is measured with joule, so he is energy itself. Renewable? Definitely. ENERGY.
Taufan; wind. He is a force. He is not energy, but he can be used to gain energy. He can be defined with [MLT⁻²], measured with newtons. If he moves something, he 'creates' energy. Yes, renewable too. NOT ENERGY.
Gempa; earth, soil. He is an object, he is mass. Not energy. He can be defined with [M], measured with kilograms, pounds, etc. You can argue he is a form of energy, potential energy, but I personally don't define him as that. Renewable if you don't get into specifics. NOT ENERGY.
Blaze; fire. He's a product of reaction, something created from a release of energy in the form of oxygen combustion. You can't measure fire, but you can measure heat. Heat is a separate measurement from energy, but it is closely tied to it in thermodynamics. Movements create heat, and energy requires movement. I can't say blaze is energy, but if i must, i will classify him as thermal energy. Yes, if you flick some levers, you can define him with [ML²T⁻²]. Renewable as long as oxygen is renewable. NOT ENERGY.
Ais; ice. Like gempa, he is an object, he is mass. He can be defined with [M]. You measure ice in kilograms. You measure water in liters. Even though in room temperature ice will grab as much energy as possible to turn into water, I can't define him as energy. Yet, water is almost always present in every power plant. I will get to this later. And yes, renewable. NOT ENERGY.
Duri; plants. No, he is not energy. He is THE power plant. A whole power plant of organic reaction cycle. He's too complicated to measure but no, he's not energy, he's not used to 'create' energy. He makes the energy himself and stores it in him. Renewable and directly involved in making stuff renewable. NOT ENERGY.
Solar; light. Oh, cahaya, beautiful cahaya. A wave but also a particle. Unlike soil and ice, he's a mass who constantly moves, thus carrying energy within him. He's also like fire in a way that he's a byproduct of a reaction. Yes, he is a form of energy in a direction where he radiates. You can measure him with joule, but he prefers a special measurement unit, eV. You can somewhat define him with [ML²T⁻²], but light is so much more than that. Renewable, as far as we're concerned. ENERGY.
THEY ARE ALL RENEWABLE.
So, really, if we're talking about energy duo, it should be hali and solar since they're both conventionally a form of energy. If you squint, taufan and blaze can also be classified as energy, yet i prefer to call taufan a force and blaze a reaction. Though, i still do like the name energy duo so i will continue to use it for taufan and solar.
What i don't accept is CALLING SOLAR AND TAUFAN'S FUSION TO BE LOW ENERGY COST. No, I do NOT accept that scientific inaccuracy.
