a job in academia feels like such a dream? i want to be able to teach small classes about literary theory at a small university in a foggy town and debate the classics with students in my office hours and over the summer when i don’t have classes to teach i can take classes of my own and further my learning and maybe get another degree in something i’m equally passionate about. i want to be able to come home after work and brew a cup of tea and read books because “it’s for my job” and correct essays and learn alongside other academics for the rest of my life
