A child looked up with wonder,
to the endless blue above.
Wondering why the stars twinkled,
and what the clouds were made of.
Why the sun rose up so bright
and went to sleep during the night.
Giving the moon a warm smile,
the white face looking back for awhile.
A child looked down with wonder,
to the endless blue below.
Wondering why the fishes swam,
and if there was a pearl in the clam.
What lurked down in the deep,
sticking in with her face to peek.
Hearing the songs of the sea,
happy with such a childish glee.
A child looked around with wonder,
to the tall green realms yonder.
Wondering what was hidden on the land,
from the small to big secrets so grand.
Chasing through the forgotten woods,
enjoying its splendour and tasty fruits.
Dancing over the stretched out field,
oh the things that the world revealed.
A child grew up to an adult,
yet still full over wonder.
The woman still fiery and full of love,
for the lands yonder, sea below and sky above.
Her stride to learn more never wavered,
her own ways still one she favoured.
So look for out for this ardent shape,
as she wanders over the landscape..
A song written by me for my bard/druid character Nifre Treesong. This describes how she was and is in part still.
