Chapter One: I'M PREGNANT???

Poe lets out a groan, sitting up in his chair, immediately greeted by the smell of ink and the sight of Karl asleep on the desk. Despite it being only 7 AM, someone who wasn't as used to almost pitch-dark would probably mistake it for midnight. Just as he was about to pick up his pen, he feels a lurching feeling in his stomach. "This again? Is this a tragic, terminal illness?" he thought. Just as his gaunt form hunches over in his chair, he hears the door open.
Ranpo strolls in as if he owns the place, a lollipop in his mouth despite the early hour. He hums a soft tune under his breath, scampering in until he's right in front of Poe's desk. "Hey, Poe!"
Poe looks up, cold sweat running down his pale face, now even paler with nausea. "Yes, Ranpo-darling?"
Ranpo takes one good look at Poe, noticing his response delayed by a millisecond. Faster than the rabbit reproduction rate, he inquired: "Poe, you know how nauseous and bloated you've been for the last few months?"
Without missing a beat, Poe replies. "Yes, I have. I believe I have come down with a tragic, terminal illness."
Ranpo shakes his head, knowing the other man will be in a state of pure, unadulterated shock when he hears the next words that will come out of his mouth. "Poe, you're not sick. You're pregnant."
Best believed, he was proven right. Poe's eyes widened, repeating "I— I—" like a malfunctioning computer. "No! That cannot be possible! I am far too frail to be a father!"
