Elias Abid is, apparently, a jet setting world traveler of a producer, having listed Paris, Kansas City, and Chicago as his location on Soundcloud. He’s also one half of electro soul outfit Abandoned Mall Arcade, but on mellow enchanter About Me, he joins forces with Chicago’s CHAI who offers up delicate, breathtaking vocals. About Me is an ethereal, ambient gem, but it packs quite the intoxicating emotional punch. The song comes from a “re:set” EP coming soon, which the duo explain will illustrate a developing relationship between the two artists. Elias Abid and CHAI started as friends and their relationship grew more intimate as they created the 5 song EP. Each song from the EP will represent a different stage in their story, taking us through the “obstacles, doubts, excitements, and joys of falling in love”. If the beauty of this first taste from “re:set” isn’t already alluring enough, the concept of such anl EP will certainly seal the deal. I’ll be eagerly awaiting for this electro soul love story.
