Butterz impresario Elijah and DMC Champion DJ Shiftee join forces for a cross-pollinated mixtape of US/UK rap, grime and beyond.

After meeting at a Trouble & Bass event, London’s Elijah and New York’s Shiftee realized the degree of similarity there was in the music they were favoring, a transatlantic movement typified by the Darq E Freaker-Danny Brown collaboration ‘Blueberry (Pills & Cocaine).’

The UK Meets USA mixtape is an exploration of their shared sonic territory, featuring artists from the Butterz-revitalized grime scene and the fertile fringes of underground rap. Vocals are provided by Danny Brown, Action Bronson, JME, Carrie Wilds, Trim, and P Money, with beats from a crew that includes Starkey, Darq E Freaker, Clicks & Whistles, Preditah, Noah D and Royal-T. All in all, 40 minutes of expertly-mixed grime & trap depravity.
