“I concede that our brother might have an…extremely particular methodology when it comes to professing affect but that doesn't imply that the sentiment isn't there nevertheless. If I remember correctly you used to being able to perceive it much more successfully than me.”

"Do you find any special brand of comfort when I state the obvious?" Elijah questioned with a slight smile. "I missed you, Rebekah."

Observing the uncertain streets Elijah took notice of how both the portions claimed by the obscurity and the places where a mild light projected a treacherous sense of assurance were presenting at its core the same essence of peril and approaching murk. Unaware in regards of how much of this effect was provided by his state of mind and not particularly caring about it he decided that he enjoyed the ambiance. His footsteps echoing through the nigh carried a sense of freedom and renewed diversion. Not a hint of the commonly permanently in force self-imposed obligations flashed from his eyes. It was only him, the night as his personal playground and one thousand possibilities opening before his new gaze. And then there were one thousand and one. He noticed her in between shadows with an even greater internal amusement than any of the others experienced before. His march instantly adapted with a tenacious simplicity to follow the speed of her steps. But this only lasted a brief flicker of a pendulum before he opted for the company. At the next instant he was right behind her. As he was passing her Elijah allowed his hand to tenuously caress her shoulder as a form of greeting. There was something in the soft and yet perceivable touch that casted reflections of entertainment and slyness. “Anna” The specter of a grin appeared now that she was in front of him “Hello again.”

But contrary to showing surprise or amazement at them in the end Elijah answered with the shadow of a personal smirk. “Don’t you think that there is something incomparably ferocious about the strength of an upcoming fire?” He approached until they were in front of each other. “Especially one that signalizes its coming in the rage of a storm. There is an element intrinsically powerful beyond the measure of understanding in such portent. A candid intensity…A promise of hellishly and heavenly flames to come that will consume each individual drop of blood running through your veins.” He suggested looking at her with latent intensity before taking her hand with utmost gentleness while turning down to place a delicate and kiss on her palm. “Flames lurking over us…Don’t you agree?
