Ugh, if I didn’t have a kid, I totally would have gotten laid last night. Damn.
You could always drop off my goddaughter with me you know, I understand her mother has needs.

Heartbreak and promises || Mariza & Elijah
It broke Mariza’s heart, seeing her brother like this. She liked to see him happy and cheerful. Sighing, Mariza picked up the keys from the side. “I’ll drive.” With that, she headed outside, then locked up the house after Eli followed. She silently slipped into the drivers seat of Eli’s car and placed her hands on the steering wheel, clutching it tightly. Staring straight head, Mari whispered, “We don’t have to go.” If it was too much for him, she’d rather not go. Also, she was starting to think it was too much for her, that she couldn’t keep up her brave face. That the cracks would finally show on the surface. “If you don’t feel up to it,” she finished, turning to him and biting her lip slightly
Climbing into the passenger seat, he sat there in silence for a bit with his sister, it felt like the world was crashing down on him, he did his best year round to suppress the emotions about his parents death, he worked hard to put a smile on his face and his thoughts happy, it got to a point within the year that he would become numb to anything concerning the accident, but this one day was the day all the built up, raw emotion was let loose and it was more than Eli knew he could handle, but something he knew was inevitable. Losing himself in his thoughts, Mariza's voice pulled him back, "Don't be silly Mari," his voice was low and soft, shaky a bit, "of course we have to go." He looked down, holding back the tears that stung his eyes, taking a deep breath before looking back up to Mariza, "It's just one day, just for today." He reached over and grabbed one of his sisters hands, giving it a gentle squeeze, reassuring her she could do this too, that she was strong enough. Holding onto it for a few more seconds, his thumb rubbed over her knuckles before his hand returned to his lap, a silent way of letting his sister know he was ready to go.
It's Been Awhile || Eli && Morgan
It had been awhile since Eli had gone to seen Morgan. As close friends as they were, Eli had let a wedge be driven between them ever since she and Jordan had begun their relationship. He never liked the guy, he was always so arrogant and cocky about every single thing in Eli's eyes, and although he usually got along with everyone and anyone, Jordan was someone he just couldn't stand to be around for too long. He tried to explain his emotions about Morgan's new love interest to the brunette multiple times, but every time he did, it would end in an ugly argument, leaving the both of them hurt and exhausted. Over time it put a serious strain on their friendship, they're conversations became shorter and shorter, the phone calls and text messages were sent and received less and less. It left Eli in a bad place, not only did he know he was losing his best friend, he had lost his job, Elle and him were no longer together, and his grades has slipped a bit, all of which was his fault.
The only person he was willing to talk to about any of it with, and the only person he felt he had left, was his sister, Mariza. There were nights he would sneak into her room and crawl into her bed only to cuddle up next to her and unleash his uncontrollable sobs that he had been holding in all day. One night as he was confiding in Mariza, she had let it slip that Morgan and Jordan had cut it off, and that Morgan seemed to be pretty upset and distraught about the entire situation. Even with their issues in the recent past, Eli still hated the thought of his best friend being in any kind of pain and immediately felt guilty that all the time he had been wallowing in his own self pity, he had failed to be there for Morgan when she needed him most. It had to be well past three in the morning, but Eli didn't care, he needed to see Morgan, tell her he was sorry for being so stupid and letting something as dumb as Jordan get in the way of their friendship; he needed to make sure she was okay and if she wasn't, he needed to make sure she was at least comforted.
Kissing Mariza on the cheek, he slid himself out of his sister's embrace and went to put on something other than his pajamas. He managed to find a sweatshirt and a pair of jeans, sliding on his shoes before he headed out the door with his keys on the lanyard around his neck. The streets were empty, maybe one or two cars passing Eli as he made his way to Morgan's home. It was only a matter of ten minutes before he pulled into her empty driveway, remembering that Kelvin usually took a five day vacation around this time of year, alone, which Morgan had to have been alone for a couple days now. He turned off his car and took a deep breath, he hadn't seen Morgan in what seemed like months, what if she just shut the door in his face? What if she was angry with him for being the idiot he had been for all this time? The longer he sat in his car the more horrid the possibilities of what was going to happen next became. He shook his head, clearing away any negative thoughts from his mind before he psyched himself out completely and drove home. He stepped out of drivers seat and made his way up to her front door, he knocked on it with his signature knock that he had been known to do on the Benson door, not even knowing if she was awake, but now all he could do was stand on her doorstep and wait.

Another day of school down
Ah soccer. I wish I still had the time to play all the sports I use to. Plain and simple isn’t bad though. You still win pie points.
I hear that, now with school and now my job, along with trying to balance times with friends and the girlfriend, there's hardly time for Eli nowdays, ya feel me?
But pie points? Whatever they are, sounds like a good thing!
Another day of school down
Adding one more name to my cheering section. This is good news. Do you play any sports?
Eh, not so much, a little soccer here and there, but even that's just for fun really! I'm a kind of plain and simple guy I guess you could say!
