Damn the reylos on twitter are really amazing. Like they are piecing everything together and the theories all make sense. After the news broke out about the Sith Troopers, reylos are quoting things from canon books to analyzing the color Red in the ST films and making sense of all these things to be related to the recent news. This shouldn’t really be a l surprise omg Reylos have always been ahead when it comes to predicting and theorizing things in SW.

Reylos are pretty amazing. It’s been a great fandom experience for me and I love how much I’ve learned and continue to learn from everyone. Also, their speculaiton is on point and overlaps so often that it sometimes feels like a hivemind haha.

But @eliminatetheswearing has a great thread going concerning colors in the ST (specifically red), and some others have even pulled out where that new Sith logo has been used in current content. At this point, I don’t know why anyone doesn’t believe many of the Reylo theories. We got so much right during the lead up to TLJ that it was almost overwhelming. I expect it to be much the same considering for TRoS considering Matt Martin has this to say about the overall story:

This “what would a Han and Luke reunion look like?” discourse Mark Hamill’s fuelling on twitter is pissing me OFF.

Han would have flown straight to Ahch-To, dragged Luke’s ass out of his hut, given him a shiner so severe, he’d lose an eye, had Chewie rip off his limbs and then thrown him off a cliff for what he did to Ben.

THAT’S what a Han and Luke reunion would have looked like and THAT’S why Han had to die before finding out the truth of what happened at the temple.

I have to concur. The narrative treaded on glass with the realistic implications of parents finding out a relative raised a weapon over their sleeping son (for WHATEVER reason). Rey has by now Avenging Angeled Luke and absolved him, because he’s so very sorry. Leia is his Cosmic Twin, so she too kinda reads his heart. Han had to die before the truth outed.

But Han thought there was too much Vader in him as well. Not to say he wouldn’t attack Luke, but I think he might wallow in more guilt and depression than before. Also, Han is pretty forgiving so…

But anyways he’s dead so we’ll never get an answer to that question.

I think Luke’s arc in TLJ is so misunderstood because people refuse to see it for what it is: a redemption story. And, I get it. I get why people don’t want Luke Skywalker to need to be redeemed. But the reality is that Luke himself is signposting to the audience the gravity of what he’s done, by going into self-imposed exile because he is deeply ashamed.

Also, reminder that Han never signed off on Ben being sent to Luke in the first place (”Han was ‘Han’ about it”) and that’s likely 90% of the reason why he couldn’t handle facing Leia for six years afterwards. It’s a tragic tragic end to one of the most popular romances of all time and so I get why people want to blame some outside force (even if I do not at all understand why they want to blame Han and Leia’s son) for the breakdown of their relationship, but there it is.
