Do you ever just spend the night listening to music and ignoring the world? Because that’s all I’ve been trying to do lately. Anyway, for those of you who don’t know me, I’m Natalie. And for those of you who do, just know that yes, I am the coolest person around.

I used to love doing that when I was constantly working and just needed to switch off from being someone else. Glad to meet you though, Natalie. I’m Chace and I’m a big fan but you’re gonna have to prove that you’re the coolest person around.

Doing that work thing that people sometimes do but I wish I was at a con instead. That’s one thing I still haven’t done, well not as one of the celeb guests anyway.

Oh no. I can’t be doing with leather. I always end up sticking to it and peeling yourself off a chair after a good nap just ruins the good vibes for me.

It was nice to get time out just to be together. Leighton couldn’t believe how lucky she was to have someone like him in her life. He had been there at her best and at her worst and it baffled her how they were only getting to the more than friends stage after all this time. Leighton looked over at him as he took her hand in his and she smiled. “I finished that song I was working on yesterday. Then just did the house stuff you know, like making it all clean for my man.” She chuckled. “How was set today?” 

Leighton looked out the window as they seemed to be getting closer to the destination. She went to open the door but before she knew, Chace was there doing it for her. “Thank you.” She smiled as she climbed out of the car. “Oh, why thank you… again.” Leighton said, matching his accent and giving him a slight curtsy. She took his hand once more as he lead to her to where their dinner was going to be. 

Chace’s thumb rubbed against Leighton’s knuckles as he led the way through the park. A few people wondering around in the diminishing daylight gave them the odd glance but otherwise no-one really acknowledged their existence and that was perfectly fine with Chace. Just before getting to the clearing Chace stopped and stood infront of Leighton. “Okay, now is the bit where I’m gonna need you to trust me and close your eyes.” He softly said as he reached up and brushed some hair from Leighton’s face. Leaning in he kissed the tip of her nose before smiling. “Come now, eyes closed. We’re getting weird looks just standing here like weirdos. 

Once he was sure that Leighton’s eyes were firmly closed he took her hand to take her into the clearing. Candles and fairy lights lit the area. A small table for two was set up under a gazebo, the table lit with candles. To Chace it was the exactly what he’d envisioned. Moving so he was standing behind Leighton, his arms wrapped around her waist. “Open your eyes.” He whispered softly into to her, placing a sweet kiss on her neck once the words left his mouth.
