"Okay, no offense, but what the fuck?" Leighton asked, looking around. "Why did they leave it like that? It's like half done. And they said they were all set for everything?"

"All I'm saying is that everyone has a better day when someone brings in donuts, so I took it upon myself to be that person," Leighton said to her friend. "If I have to listen to Jeri's crash out one more time this week, I'm going to have a crash out, and it will be at least ten times worse."

A habit, a horrible habit if Leighton said so herself. Something she did since she was dragged out of her foster home all those years ago, look for her sister in everyone she saw. However, the girl waiting for her coffee looking eerily like an older version of the girl Leighton once knew. She thought to go up to her, step out of the shadows and see if it was right. Her brain had played tricks on her before, it wouldn't be the first time Leighton was mistaken. She was so focused on the other that Leighton almost missed it, her own name being called. She shook the feeling, telling herself it wasn't her, and stepped around the other to grab the coffee the barista slid onto the counter for her.
