AUBREY: i think any relationship is gonna be the sum of what both people put into it. that decides its success. not some bullshit date or kiss or whatever. it's dumb to think only one kind of relationship is like the gold standard of success or w/e. it's reductive. and kind of insulting to all the ppl who are ecstatically happy together w/o that.
AUBREY: ok well you guys are cute. and balance each other out. it's very sweet.
KURT: It's a difficult balance for me, because I'm a hopeless romantic, but only to the point of still being realistic. I definitely dont think couples that arent soulmates are any less valid. Their relationships can be just as fulfilling, and happen against all of the odds and the universe literally telling them no. But I cant give into that fully and say the soulmate bond doesnt matter at all, because then I'm minimizing what my mom means to my dad.
KURT: I'm an atheist and I'm having a crisis of faith because our friends are dramatic and it's so dumb
KURT: But I guess it doesnt matter, because Sam is my soulmate and I cant imagine being with anyone else. I got the best of both worlds.
