What's your opinions on the Demelza and Elizabeth's fight from last season, I didn't like it at all.
Ooooooo I have alot of thoughts on that scenes in my opinion and the entire Elizabeth and Demelza stuff in general. I actually found the scene quite interesting because it shows how Demelza really only believes at times what Ross lets her know and allows her own insecurities in her place in Rossâ heart blind her. Also, it shows how 18th-century women have to learn to live with husbands who arenât all that great.Â

The secret of blue is well kept. Blue comes from far away. On its way, it hardens and changes into a mountain. The cicada works at it. The birds assist. In reality, one doesnât know. One speaks of Prussian blue. In Naples, the virgin stays in the cracks of walls when the sky recedes. But itâs all a mystery. The mystery of sapphire, mystery of Sainte Vierge, mystery of the siphon, mystery of the sailorâs collar, mystery of the blue rays that blind and your blue eye which goes through my heart.

Come, my beloved, consider the lilies. We are of little faith. We talk too much.

The north star is not the brightest in the sky. - What is? The dog star. Which is fitting, since I found my star in a dogfight.
Radio Times (17-23June) - Heida Reed interview & great to see Ross/Aidan is still taking centre stage in the RT photos!!
laughter + george/elizabeth + five line fic
You shouldnât show your teeth, her mother had always told her - no more than you should show him your hand, or any other part of yourself - you should not laugh unless thereâs a ring on your finger and gold in his coffers.Â
But when little Valentine had taken his first steps on the sleek new rug in the winter parlor, he had promptly fallen on his bottom - and where she had expected tears, she found only an impish grin and a gurgle of laughter. She had not been able to rein in a high, clear laugh of her own in response and Georgeâs hand quickly found her shoulder and then the arch of her cheekbone. She had not even heard him come in from his study, but he had crouched down beside her and she looked up at him from where she sat, wondering at the way his eyes could not settle on either her or the boy she knew to be their son.
Rings and gold could not buy you certainty, but she had learned that certainty was only ever of the moment, and for the moment, she was certain.

sunset + penvenys + 5 line fic :)
Bathed in the warm orange light, Caroline stood on the clifftop, facing east into the sunset. A light breeze stirred the ends of her hair and her trailing skirts.
The water was burnished gold and she felt almost as if the glitter of the waves mocked her, teasing her with secrets of the faraway war which lay across their surface. The very war which had snatched her husband away from her and perhaps threatened to keep him forever.
She stood until the sun had slipped almost beneath the horizon and the dark purple of twilight draped itself over her; every day over was another closer to mending her heart. Â
