He reaches a hand out to place it on hers. “I’ve been thinking about you a lot too.”

Elizabeth’s heart fluttered a little, her eyes finding his. “I-I’m really g-glad to hear that..” She smiled softly, lacing her fingers in his.

“Sounds like I have some competition” he joked. “He teaches at the University or the high school?”

“Oh no, no, no.” Elizabeth smiled shaking her head. “Y-You’ll always be number one.” She giggled. “The high school.”

“He’s the total package” Trevor laughed. 

“H-He is q-quite lovely, i-isn’t he.” It wasn’t really a question.

Orders his own meal and grins back at her as the waiter walks away. “So. How has your week been?”

“It’s been p-pretty uneventful.” She shrugged a little. “I-I’ve just been working... I-I was r-really glad when you c-called me though..” Elizabeth admitted with a light blush. “I-I’ve been th-thinking about you a lot lately..”

“Doesn’t sound like nothing much, that’s exciting! Tell me about him. What’s his name, what does he do for a living?”

Elizabeth smiled widely, shrugging a little. “I-I mean.. I-I don’t want to jinx anything..” She shrugged a little. “H-His name i-is Ryan.. He is a English teacher.. H-He’s sorta amazing..”

“Boy I hope so” he laughed. “He’s just so handsome, I could stare at him for hours”

“O-Oh my goodness..” Elizabeth giggled, shaking her head. “I-I have to a-agree once again..”

“I’m up for learning. Any time you want.” he grinned. He kept playing with her foot until the waiter came up to take their orders.

“I-I’ll keep that in mind.” She smiled, before the waiter came back. Elizabeth smiled weakly at the man before stuttering out her order, turning her attention back to Ryan as soon as she was done.

“Impossible” he smiled at her. “Now come on, you gotta tell me, what’s been going on in the life of Elizabeth”

“U-Uh... Not much..:” Shrugs a little. “I-I mean.. I have kind of been seeing someone.. But other than that.. Nothing much..”

Trevor watched her reaction when he said Ryan’s name and smiled. “I figured it would” he looked at her. “I blush whenever someone mentions Ryan too” he joked

Elizabeth wrinkled her nose, letting out a giggle. “O-Oh yeah?” She smiled, shaking her head. “I-I can assure you, I-I know he feels the same about you.” She joked.

“That’s pretty awesome. I can barely make pasta.” he laughed. “I’m perfectly okay with it.” he smiled. He felt her toe touching his and moved his foot against hers starting up a little footsie game.

“Y-Yeah? M-Maybe I’ll take a turn at being your teacher s-some time.” She smirked playfully, biting the corner of her lip as she played with his foot under the table.

“Really? Learn any good recipes?” he grinned at her. “No worries. It’s understandable if you don’t.” he shrugged. 

“N-Nothing too fancy. Fried chicken, meatloaf, the n-normal stuff.” She giggled a little, nodding her head. “As l-long as you’re okay with it.” She smiled, stretching her leg out to let the toe of her heel to tap the toe of his shoe.

Max smiled at her softly. “You’re a really good friend, Eliz”

Elizabeth smiled lightly, shrugging a little. “You’re a better one.”

“Yeah, sorry, I just generally always seem happy I think, because I get tat a lot” he looked at her. “I might be just a little bit happier right now, I think you know my best friend. Does the name Ryan Tate ring any bells?”

“T-There’s nothing wrong w-with being happy!” She smiled, before lifting a brow as he spoke. “Hmm.” Her cheeks suddenly began to flush when Trevor mentioned Ryan. “I-I uh-” Her eyes fell for a moment. “I-Uh, yeah.. It rings quite a f-few bells..” She giggled bashfully.

He chuckles a bit. “I understand that. I can’t really cook at all so it’s how I’ve been living.” he joked. “But yeah. You should try a bite of mine. See if you like them.” he smiled.

“I-I can’t stand boxed food anymore..” She giggled shaking her head. “I-I’ve been taking c-cooking classes actually.” Elizabeth smiled a little nodding her head. “Y-Yeah? O-Okay... But you can’t get m-mad if I don’t like it.” she smiled.

Max let out a small smile. “Even if I could forget, I’d never want to”

“That’s a good thing..” She smiled weakly, squeezing his hand tightly.

“Always a great choice.” he smiles. “They’re my favorite here. I’ve been places where they cook them poorly and they end up tasting horrible.” he laughed.

“O-Oh?” She tilted her head a little. “R-Really? I-I’ve never actually h-had them.” She admitted. “I-I grew up o-on a lot of b-boxed food.” Giggles weakly. “M-My mother wasn’t one for a-actually cooking.”

“Elizabeth” he repeated, smiling a little cause her and ryan and the cute stuffs. “Very pretty name” he smiled brighter. 

“Y-Yes..” She smiled softly, before giggling a little. “T-Thank you...?” She glanced away for a moment before looking back at him. “Y-You’re quite the h-happy fellow.” She laughed.
