IKEA hack!

Couldn’t find inexpensive hanging planters for my front porch, so I made some! Super simple - I just drilled 3 holes around the rim for hanging and 3 holes in the bottom for drainage. Plastic pots are from IKEA (https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/foerenlig-plant-pot-indoor-outdoor-white-40454819/) hardware (poly-coated chain, s hooks, and carabiner) from the Home Depot. Also featured, my wayward, rootbound ferns that I overwintered successfully in my basement last year!

Gingerbread house in July! Chocolate Bundt cake baked in a house mold.

I love the aesthetic of gingerbread house, but it’s a lot of work and wasteful - no one wants to make or eat rock-hard, bland cookie panels, stale candy, or brittle paste icing. Enter this cake mold! This Bundt cake mold yields the perfect gbread look in an appetizing cake. Can’t wait to bust this thing out in December. Imagine the cake displayed on a pedestal under a glass dome, decorated with a lemon glaze drizzle and dusting of powdered sugar? Magic!

Giant shamrock garden, year 2! Very happy with the installation - the shamrocks got bigger, taller, and more numerous since last year. I made it for Irish Fest Camden, an annual Celtic heritage celebration in my hometown.

Embroidered these pillowcases with a little trout and fishing line design. Sketched out the design just freehand with an orange washable (crayola) marker and it came right out in a handwash after I finished stitching. So excited to gift these to my fisherman brother for Xmas!
