I propose this year be Two thousand twenty FIX. this year we're fixing shit. If you got a problem fix it right away if you can. As soon as you notice even. Fix shit. Fix your leaky faucet. Clean your shower. Talk to your friends about that thing they do that makes you feel unloved. 202fix
I LOVE MY TEAM
i think being a doctor or nurse is a lot like being a teacher in that, if youre not very careful, it cultivates in you this really terrible attitude towards the people you interact with all day, an attitude where the idea of your control over them is just totally unquestioned. people talk about how living in terrible conditions can be bad for you, can make you worse as a person, and i think thats true, but these institutional cases are more interesting to me, right, like we need doctors and teachers. but the current system has this weird cost on the practitioner's...idk "soul", for lack of a better word

It's weird that "doctors run a guild which artificially limits the supply of doctors to increase their wages" is not a well known (or at least oft discussed) fact. It's been a problem for like 50 years but also even if it wasnt true it seems like the sort of thing people would make up. Health care costs are such a major discourse issue these days but for some reason it's all about the insurance and pharmaceutical companies. I guess people like doctors, and know them personally. I like doctors too! You don't have to be some mustache curling villain to restrict supply of a resource you possess, it's kind of the natural thing to do (cf housing ofc)

I don't know what CaitVi is and I'm only just now learning what Kinktober is but I just know there's gonna be a three hour long youtube video essay about these mods in two years and it's going to start with "chapter 1: the kinktober thing"
