How did you learn to do such amazing art? Do you think being good at drawing is primarily something you're born with or purely the result of endless practice

I used to be really shit at art, but a 3 years ago I started recreating other people's drawings for practice (obviously I didn't post them or claim them as mine bc that would be v bad). I also fell further in love at school, where in my art class I would be able to make these grand pieces that were unique or massive or something. So in summary I used to be shit but I practices so so so much
