My final exhibition
Closer look inside the boxes
I decided to test whether I wanted to use the flowers left from my props photoshoot, in the boxes. At first I wasn’t sure but I quite like the look of them in a few of the boxes so it’s not just an image inside. It also makes you question the link between the prop and the image
One of the boxes fell off the wall so I had to glue it back on with extra glue. The rest of the boxes seem stable enough but this is something I will need to keep an eye on
Lower angle, you can see some of the images but some you can’t and have to get up to the boxes
Exhibition space prepared and the floor painted
Piled boxes in the two corners. I questioned whether I needed the boxes piled up, however I do think it changes it up from just having the boxes on the wall.
All boxes on the wall for the exhibition. I was happy with the placing of the boxes and so far don’t feel the need to change anything. I am happy with how from different angles you can’t see inside the boxes and have to get up closer to look as well as the black being striking and eye catching.
Process of putting up the boxes. I wanted to put the boxes up now so that I have plenty of time to adjust or change anything if it needs to so it is right for the exhibition
My empty space ready to put up the boxes for my exhibition
Rather than screwing the boxes into the wall as it is more difficult to do, I tested putting the box to the wall with hot glue. This worked really well and the box was very secure. This gives me the ability to put all the boxes on the wall no matter the size which is what I wanted initially. As well as this, it is easy to take them off the wall if I need to adjust or change anything once they’re up.
Start of making the collages to go inside the boxes on the walls
Boxes piled up in a corner of my exhibition space test. I will leave some of the boxes open so you can see the images inside but I will also leave some sealed so there is a variety.
