I really love these images. Not only the similar tones within the pictures but the whole post feels very comforting and cosy. My personal favorite photograph is the one with the bottles. I am not sure why or how to describe it but there is something about the bottle rack and the angle at which you took the photograph that really just brings me in and feels like I am there.

these are very bold blues. the consistency of the blues in the background of each picture makes the object in front of it seem more important. i really appreciate this style of photography.

Where do we shine the light on what we see? What do we pay attention to? I find this image seizes me. So I need to go deeper into what it is that grabs me here. The light bulb, clearly visible at left. is demanding that I pay attention to what it illuminates. It casts a circle of light on a corner of a room. A door is visible, but in the time of COVID 19 doors keep us in and also allude to a way out. It lights up a stool, a place to sit, yet the place is empty. And the mystery of the obvious intention in making this photograph draws me to it. I continue to think on it and the lights used in interrogation of people are brought to mind. As creators we need to interrogate ourselves in many ways. The self-portraiture assignment may come to your minds. I wonder whether you all will read this and re-post it with your comments on this single image, a very potent one to my mind.

I think this is interesting because it is clear the set up is meant for a person to be photographed as a portrait, but without the subject in the picture, you can really appreciate the set that frames the picture.
