Lightlark
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::SPOILERS::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Can we talk about lightlark.
Was I the only one who was expecting an actual competition where there is, I don’t know, tension and we the readers worry about the main character and stuff. >=|
I did not expect a low stakes showmanship where the rulers display their powers because that was not what was promised. It was completely lackluster.
And the romance I’m sorry was there a romance between any of the love interest. I’m supposed to believe Isla fell for Grim and Oro with no lead up or connection. Having a conversation and spending time together does not equal chemistry.
The betrayal was ok because at the end of the day Grim’s part was confusing. What do you mean you agree to take away her memory for her to fall for someone else and yet you don’t stay away from her. Was the plan made last minute because that’s what it felt like.
Overall, it was an enjoyable ride, somewhat. I will continue the series hopefully the plot doesn’t feel force and place for the sake of including tropes
2.5 [rating based on vibes lol. not really]
My life with the Walter boys

Did Jackie even grieve? I get that 6 month had pass but there was no sign that she was grieving the lost of her family. Her eyes were barely moist. The show tries to push the idea that 25 year Cole, I mean 17 is super hot. Good one writers. Cole and Alex instantly pursue Jackie and they don't even know her. Jackie comes of as a girl who was never give any male attention because as soon as she gets that attention it becomes her whole thing. What happened to characters that want others things. She can want a guy and also want her own things. She mentions Princeton like a few times but that get forgotten over her drama with these boys.
I don't remember none of the young kids. The scene in the rain was pointless. Alex was way to into Jackie he's like 15 right and saying I love after dating for 2 seconds, come on. The guidance counselor seemly moved on to Jackie's uncle and her boyfriend hadn't even left yet
If you want to have a love triangle atleast make it interesting not the same opposite good guy vs bad guy.
Who casted Cole because he should have been playing Wills role. He's too old for highschool student and it was just awkward to watch.
Overall, forgettable show.

Riverdale final season
The story lines throughout this season felt random. They were presented then dropped and presented again. Felt like they were just pulling ideas from the comics and trying to make them fit the story. There was no real story. Just like the different timelines tabitha was trying to fix, everything felt scattered, with the only connection being the characters. Some who had repeated storylines and character arcs. The first epi and last two episodes were the only things the felt connected to the last season. Every episode felt like a sitcom, singular.
And the whole 4 way. That was just .....
These characters got their memories back and I'm expected to believe they just kept living life the same. None of them seem to have addressed anything major about their past. Archie and Betty proposed to each other. Did we forget that? I do understand that they were living in different times but the literally acted like none of their past experiences phased them. ( Yes I know they erased their bad memories)
Some how it felt like the 2nd last epi didn't happen is all I'm getting at.
Side note: Still not sure how I feel about jughead mentioning something that took place in the 80's when they we in the 50's...did I miss something?
