I've been experimenting MCs on OLNF demo and I'm utterly delighted by the variety of personalities you could make up. I especially adored this one MC I made on a whim to try to be mean but rather I indeed up with someone who is a fake idgaf.
This guy tried so hard to not make friends but they know better not to be a bully. So against their better judgement, they felt socially 'obligated' to be friends with Tamarack and Qui. They hate that they've eventually come to like having them as friends.
Az is also very competitive, you can find them saying "this game is stupid" while also trying to actively win the game. That includes entering ballet because they don't want to be someone who isn't good at it.
Step 2 Az remains relatively the same, though rather than being someone is trying to be indifferent, they became someone who acts very inconvenienced by what life throws at them. Despite the game saying Az is surly to Qui, Qui is their absolute best friend on this step cause they match each other's energy. Which is very funny to me because Az hated Qiu's jokes and Qui was the person that took longest for Az to admit that they are friends.
Safe to say that Az deeply cares about their friends and their actions speak a lot more than their words and at this point, Tamarack and Qui are very aware of it.
