To The Selection Fans,

A recent consensus has confirmed that a single woman between the ages of sixteen and twenty currently resides in your home. We would like to make you aware of an upcoming opportunity to honor the great nation of Illéa. Our beloved prince, Benjamin Schreave, is coming of age this month. As he ventures into this new part of his life, he hopes to move forward with a partner, to marry a true Daughter of Illéa, please fill out the enclosed form and return it to your local Province Services Office. One woman from each province will be drawn at random to meet the prince.

Ester (book-and-comic-fangirl) and I (Brianna, eadlynmydear) have continued the OC tradition and created our own OC Ben, and associated characters to be the royal family. Now, you’ll all get to create your own characters and compete for the prince’s hand through challenges and role plays.

okay, it is really annoying the position that some people are taking, i can't ask them to change their mind, but I can say that you have my support, have a Prince is not easy and the character of Ben and his family they are perfect , I would love my character spent time with them (if it arrives to be selected) and I congratulate you and Ester around the work you have done, you have my support You song hace to answer this. We can't ask the council because they're corrupt

I apologize for that. as for their decision, I’m just going to ask that I stop getting asks like the ones I’ve received. I already explained my feelings on the last few posts, and how it was out of my control. it’s not fair to pinpoint this on me, but I can answer for other things like favoritism with eloise, which again, I just addressed. I don’t really know what else you would like me to say at this point

It's weird that you didn't know you were favored when everyone else knew for months that you won and that's why girls gave up

I didn’t know /in the beginning./ I was made aware of it later. at first, I got excited that the rp’s were going so well, then I found out the differences between mine and the other girls. I apologized for any part I played in this already, but I can say it again. /I’m sorry./ I don’t plan to have girls feel that way this selection, I can say that with certainty.

It is a little unfair that you won the previous OC and now you're Prince...

actually, I think one of the reasons I got prince was /because/ I won last selection. if I hadn’t won prince, I would most likely have not entered as a selected out of fairness for the other girls. it would be inconsiderate of me to enter as a selected and try to win again. also, I had absolutely no say in the decision the council made. if anya had won, I would have been /more/ than happy for her, seriously. she is an amazingly sweet person who rps great. but it’s unfair of you to say this to me when all ester and I did was make an application and wait. up until all of this, I thought the process was fair and trusted the council on the decision. if they had decided on anya, my answer would be the same. like I said before, I want to encourage kindness, and I hope my response didn’t sound rude bc that wasn’t my intention. I’m just,, very tired of having to defend myself on things that were out of my control. if you feel it was unfair that I won, please go to the people who made the decision, not me. I just want to have fun and make this experience fun for every girl who chooses to come back, and I really hope they do.

Why not follow the theme of nepotism and make Ben the child of Nate and Eloise?

look, I didn’t even realize I was being favored until very far into the selection and I began to notice differences. I even made an ooc post bc I felt so badly about it. I have always wanted fairness and felt absolutely horrible that I was somehow involved in making people feel discouraged. I don’t appreciate the rudeness of this ask. I want to encourage kindness and positivity, and have always reciprocated the same to other people. I also plan to be different and be fair to everyone who enters our selection, especially with rp’s. we even included that in an aspect of our application, that we /planned/ to be different and better to the best of our abilities. if you have anything more you’re concerned about, please come talk to me. I will only ever talk to people calmly and rationally, never in anger bc that solves nothing. just please, don’t come to me on anon so rudely when a lot of the favoritism I wasn’t even aware of, /especially/ when I apologized for any part I may have unknowingly played.

no, you should still include caste. bc technically they still do exist in our au, just not Eights

so, ben is not nate. I understand why some people might be disappointed by the fact he’s white. however, we chose all of our family members and associated characters we are introducing later on in the selection based on personality. when I saw ben’s face claim (nathan niehaus) I immediately knew that /that’s/ who I wanted to play him. trust me, I searched for a long time. race has nothing to do with it. I chose him based on personality, and then the following siblings based on who would look most like him, as well as the parents. it also helped that our other face claims fit the personalities we imagined for our royals. (also, I say this as a full 100% latina female) (hope this didn’t sound rude either, this is just me stating my claim and as to why he chose him!)
