I was asked why I would continue give my time and attention to someone even though I’m aware of their lies, thefts and their attempts to manipulate me. Prologue

⦑ Tierra ⦒ Dia 23 De Febrero ⊰ Sábado ⊱

Dreamt I was chasing a rabbit and got lost wondering through a forest of giant redwoods. Fell in love with a giving tree who said it was once a black mamba. 

Then I met a cat named Chauncey who told me his name was Felix. Said he was from some place called Cheshire; beyond the waters. He pointed me to some mice and insects traveling on the back of a turtle-elephant. It blew bubbles from its trunk which would burst into dust clouds of multiple tiny micro-verses. I drank one of the bubbles and turned into a snake-dragon that was disguised as a mouse.

The mouse was hooked on H and was some jon named Benjamin. I got into a fight with this other mouse named Aisha because she wanted to name our baby Tyler after some guy she knew back when she lived on the moon. He was some foreman at the local detective factory. 

The baby turned its head toward Aisha and I and said its name was Bolín. He’d come to us from the ravines where crows have three eyes. He stroked our foreheads and said we were children of the forest and would need to stay firmly planted in our place. We had to wait for a girl with red hair and long, tall ears who was running from a mongoose wearing a costume of a hairy beast disguised as a sleeping boy. 

In the end, I had to reveal myself as the snake-dragon and let the mongoose eat me in 3 bites. When it did, I saw I was a little girl with big ears sleeping in a field of flowers. When I looked around, I thought I’d thought I caught a glimpse of a cat wearing a top hat chasing a mouse in a red cape carrying a baby in a basket. 

Somewhere in the distance, almost as though the wind itself was talking, I could hear a slight snicker and a haunting voice saying “what a long, strange trip it’s been in Foreman’s basement.” 

I stood up and went to see if I could find the cat and mouse.
