Farkle is growing up. He’s going to start dressing differently, acting differently. Everyone is going to notice. Riley is going to notice. She’s going to notice how the girls are going to start staring at him. How they’re going to be talking to him more and more, trying to get his attention. And even though she likes Lucas she can’t help but feel a little bit jealous. But she’ll think it will have to do with the fact that every once in awhile Farkle won’t hangout with them because he made plans with someone else; claiming that he’s forgetting about them. Specifically her. Because she realizes that his infatuation with her ended and he just sees her as a friend. Because he still loves her, and Maya. But its just not the same anymore. Because even though he’s the same old Farkle Minkus she has known all her life, something changed that day they received yearbooks their in eighth grade. She started to see him in a different light. He isn’t the same brainiac that’s always chasing after her, declaring his undying love to her every chance he gets. No. He’s her brainiac best friend that is no longer chasing after her, but being chased after by many girls. The one who will eventually take over world. The one Riley just realized she has feelings for. But for his sake, Lucas’, and hers, she hides it. And her heart breaks a little everytime she hears Farkle and Lucas talk about Farkle’s latest’s date with the girl in Farkle’s science club. So she does what she does best. Puts a smile on her face and tells him how happy she’s for him. But Maya, being Maya takes notice of her best friend’s newly discovered feelings. But for her sake, and the boys’ sake, she keeps quiet.
