A lil before and after from being in a health crisis for two years and finally fought my way back to being healthy ✨❤️
Life is too short not to make the best of the bad
Life is too short not to laugh when you could cry
Life is too short not to be fully vulnerable
Life is too short not to love wholly
Life is too short to let go of a good thing
Life is too short to let pride win
Life is too short not to be silly
Life is too short not to reconnect with those you love
Life is too short not to say yes
Life is too short not to say sorry
My notes on vulnerability:
I once read a quote: "Vulnerability is the last thing I want you to see in me, but the first thing I look for in you." Vulnerability is beautiful, but it’s also raw, painfully aware, and often cruel. To be fully and completely connected to your emotions is to suffer. However, it also means that whoever receives your love knows they are getting the truest version of you—the one that is a small child who knows nothing but the warmth of love in its purest form.
Vulnerability is many things, but it is not weakness. It is the relinquishing of ego, it is compassion, it is emotional intelligence and self-awareness. The cruelest thing a person can do is see you in your vulnerability and still choose unkindness. The truest people are those who meet you in your vulnerability, who see your sensitivities and gentleness, and choose kindness and respect toward you. They are also brave enough to be vulnerable themselves, knowing that with you, they are forever safe.
If life isn’t about love then what is it all for?
Maybe for some, making a difference in some small way may suffice, perhaps they want to travel every country, make a million dollars or achieve greatness in some way.
None of those things are wrong, but for me the only thing I’ve ever longed for in this world is love. Nothing overwhelming, nothing fantastical. Just love.
Small love in the form of a cup of tea in bed, a quick glance and a sideways smile unexpected, the feeling of being pulled into a hug on a chilly day, the warmth of knowing someone’s waiting for you at home, the calming presence of someone next to you when you wake in the lonely quiet of night. The feeling of leaning into someone’s shoulder as you can't control the laughter. Hands intertwining in your most intimate moments, being completely vulnerable and seeing one another in every phase of life, the worst and best, and always being utterly and completely loved for who you are at the heart of it all.
If I could leave this world knowing I loved well and was loved well in return, my soul would be at peace for eternity.
Firefly lane got me so sad I don’t have a best friend 😔 let alone a good friend who loves me like that!
I envy those people who are just unequivocally themselves, and just flow through life with this effortless consistency and ease. I want to be them. I am in constant manual mode, every social interaction is effort in the sense that I second guess every word I say, nothing comes naturally, it all feels like I’m having to try to find the right words. Is my tone right? Did that sounds sarcastic? Do I sound bored? Am I paying enough attention? Am I annoying? Why am I not feeling smart enough? Why am I not a natural conversationist? Why am I not as cool and funny as her or him? And no matter what, it feels like everything always comes out wrong anyway. I hate being me so much
Why do I feel like the loneliest girl alive? I get along well with almost everyone I meet, I have a high degree of emotional and social intelligence, bubbly, friendly and a good listener. I can make people feel at ease when they’re shy or uncomfortable, and I can blend in well with most social groups. Yet, I don’t have any close friends and I really struggle to make sense of it. My friends seem to have social calendars filled all the time, showing all their catch ups on social media. They have an abundance of social connections and people to hang out with. I barely see anyone, maybe once every few months! It gets so embarrassing, that to make it less obvious, i started going to work on Monday’s and just making up that I saw friends on the weekend so I looked like I had a social life! I really mean it went I say there’s nothing overtly strange about me, but I guess maybe there must be. I really don’t know what it is about me or why. But I don’t think I know a single person as lonely and isolated as me (in my circle of people I know), I’m sure there are others- maybe I’m just not aware of it. But wow, it’s just really painful sometimes! When I was in my teens and younger 20s (I’m now 29) I had so many friends, close people I loved dearly and several besties. Now, there’s been times I’ve been in such low places and yet have had no one at all to call. I don’t know what happened along the way, how i went from having so many good friends- to having no one. I have so much love to give and no one to give it too. I just don’t really know how to make sense of it
Science: *uses sound methodology, research methods and statistical analysis to discover results about a thing. The results must be with 95% confidence, and such methods and results are reviewed by several scientists before publication of said thing* aka, the most accurate truth one has until such a time as new information becomes available which may render the need for new studies.
Person with no background in science disagreeing with the results of the thing with absolutely no scientific basis for reasoning: “Sorry, but you’re wrong”

It’s so wild that I was on tumblr when I was like idk, 16 and now I’m 29. Ew. Yuck.
I’m 29 and I feel like I’m grieving my twenties and late teens. Until I was 14 years old, I was happy. But then I got hit with anxiety, crippling anxiety. All the trauma from my school life and home life just hit me all at once. Extreme bullying, often violent, often humiliating. Even today, I still feel the impacts. A small example, I can’t step foot in a gym because the suffocating feeling of people seeing me in a mirror and the potential of humiliating myself is suffocating. In reality, no one cares what I’m doing.. but I’m still suffering the trauma of being humiliated so many times as a teenager, and I can’t stand peoples eyes on me. I was ignored by my father, terrified of my out of control angry mother. I was beaten by my brother, for him, “just a fun joke between siblings”- but as a child, I was so fucking scared of him and he would leave me screaming and sobbing. My mother used to blame me for it too, apparently I would “egg him on”. I never did and from those days until today, I’ve always felt invisible. I could go on, the stories are endless. But all I can say is now I’m 29. I barely have any friends, I probably have CPTSD or BPD, or both, who knows. I have crippling anxiety and depression and one of worst parts? I am so guilty and ashamed for even talking about my trauma. Friends say “everyone struggles” “who hasn’t experienced those things?” “You just need to put the past behind you and move on” “people have it worse”. Bit of advice for those who have said that, please don’t, you have no idea how much harm you are doing. I struggle to open up even to my psychologist, and that’s the safest space I have to have my trauma validated. But the narrative has been so firmly drilled into my head. “Your trauma is irrelevant. Inconvenient. Insignificant”. Now I’m 29, nearly 30. Wondering where the supposed best years of my life went. I never enjoyed them, I suffered through them. None of it was my fault, and yet I’m suffering the consequences every day. Sometimes I get tired of being positive all the time. You know that pressure to be “happy” all the time or people won’t like you. Keep your trauma sealed up. Put on a brave face and suffer in silence. If you want people to like you, don’t bring them down with your sad story. Well sometimes that gets exhausting and I’m tired today. Today, I just want to let myself feel sad.

Die hard LOTR fan, and I am LOVING rings of power. In fact, I’m so bored of hearing all the negativity about it. The show slays so far. It’s visually beautiful and better than any average TV show I’ve seen before, they have certainly given the universe the respect it deserves in terms of production quality
Is it perfect? No, there are many things so far I could pick on, but it never would have pleased everyone anyway… Also, we are just a few episodes in to a multi-series show, give it a chance🤷♀️
Hello
The most disturbing thing about Amber vs Johnny is the amount of people speaking with such strong opinions and saying incredibly inflammatory remarks, when no one really knows the truth at all.
I love tumblr. Why? Because I can be horny or depressed in peace.
