GUYS. GUYS.

I NEED HELP. I’m deciding between an official Caine plush (far left lol) or one of the bootlegs on the right.

If anyone has any of these pls lemme know how they are-

The Official-

Pros: he’s a cutie patootie, better quality, it goes towards the show, less risk of him being w o n k y

Cons: a little more expensive and he would ship out in late May, I’ll be home then and my parents think me wanting a plush at my UNC age is childish so we’re avoiding that conversation-

The Bootleg-

Pros: cheaper, would come much sooner so there’s more secrecy LOL, he isn’t as big as the official which is a win in my book, MIGHT be more plush?? (I heard the official’s teeth are cardboard while these ones are plush but idk), and he’s still a cutie patootie lol

Cons: DOESN’T go towards the show, he’s a little funky, the mouth goes all the way back which I miiight have to fix but oh well

The plan rn is to stop at my local outlet sometime this week, which has a GameStop Spencer’s and hot topic. If NONE of them have this dude I’m considering a bootleg-

Again, this is one of my comfort shows. I love it, I love every character, and I especially love Caine. It isn’t perfect, but what shows are, anyway?

SO.

The main two complaints people bring up are the humor and some of the dialogue being cringy? I think the humor is subjective—I think for its target audience it works well. Someone described it as band kid humor, and as a band kid, yes this is my humor lol. But it’s not everyone’s so yea that’s subjective. YES, some of the dialogue is cringy because it’s over the top or doesn’t feel earned. Cough Jax cough Gangle cough cough. Most examples with that criticism are valid, some are just people picking out literally any dialogue and putting a “🫩💔” next to it.

My main complaint has to be with the build up to episode 8. If you’re in the fandom, yes, the build up seems real. Since Gooseworx revealed some of the inspo was from I Have No Mouth we’ve been kinda waiting for this moment to happen and it’s made a lot of people pick up on details of Caine slowly losing his patience with the cast. But those should have been more spelled out, in my opinion. We have the moment where he show his insecurity, and Zooble’s “the only thing holding Caine back is the fact that he likes us”, but that was really it. The other times he was annoyed were played off as jokes. Golden jokes, but still. But yeah some more build up would’ve made his initial crashout scene less “cringe” and much more earned imo.

Side note, I feel like we should’ve really nailed it in that the cast can FEEL EVERYTHING. I was thinking about this when I first watched episode 8, then Danny Motta brought up that they look more uncomfortable than in actual pain, and I was actually so happy lol. They DO just look uncomfortable, and MAYBE that was for the sake of a younger audience, but I meeaannn there’s no way they’d sacrifice some good intimidation from Caine for the children right?? 🤨

I also do side with people complaining about Jax and Pomni becoming the main characters, TO AN EXTENT. As in, I wish we got more depth to the other characters like Gangle and Zooble in their respective episodes before transitioning over and calling their arcs a day. During my watchthrough I could kind of tell WHEN Zooble’s arc with starting to accept themself came in, but again we could’ve spelled it out/explored it a BIIIIT more for the complainers in the back LOL.

If there is one buildup I LIKE, it’s Pomni and Jax’s relationship, with them warming up to each other throughout the first six episodes, their fallout, and Jax slowly opening up again. SLOWLY. Idk he seems way less sour in episode 8 than 7. Maybe just because of the Caine crisis but even before then he seemed a bit more chill.

…that’s really all I have LOL, just wanted to get this out there in the world for either myself to reread or some unsuspecting user. BUH-BYE!!

Maybe it represented Caine finally escaping his own prison, since he’s technically just as trapped as the rest of the cast. Him saying one final goodbye to us, the audience, before getting to leave…

I’m tired and I don’t wanna be here anymore and it feels like I genuinely don’t have anyone to turn to because I don’t wanna trigger anything going on with them or make them see me differently or pus me away because of my mental problems. I won’t amount to anything, I can’t make any meaningful connections and people will just forget about me anyway. They’d get over me real quick. Literally the only ones tying me down are my parents and my siblings, but mostly my little sister because she looks up to me and I could never do that to her. I want to get out of this but I don’t want to but I want to and I need to but I just genuinely need to get some of this out of my system. I want someone to notice and ask how I am but I’m also afraid, again, that they’d use it against me or see me differently, like see me as a victim or weak or sensitive or problematic the list goes on. But I think I’ll be here for a while, I’m not doing anything permanent. But I’m slipping into that mindset and it kind of scares me. But on the bright side, maybe I’d go before my parents and avoid coping with that in the future. Is that a selfish thing to say?

FNAF 2 REVIEW

Spoilers below cut:

OKAY. I think I’ll let it simmer in my head before I form an opinion on it, but overall I enjoyed it more than the first movie!!

PROS:

-The opening scene was ACTUAL FIRE. Like CAN WE MAKE MORE OF THAT PLEASE

-The Toys! I’ve never been a big fan of the Toys but I ended up liking them a lot more after this movie :)

-Action! Lots more action!! It made it a whole lot more enjoyable and fun to watch. I feel like we saw more of the animatronics in this movie than the first which I loved

-PUPPET. OMG PUPPET. Puppet was actually terrifying to see irl, but mostly their physical form. That was nightmare fuel.

-THAT POST CREDITS SCENE. “We found one. A real one.” BRO. THE GOAT IS BACK.

-That Afton flashback was actual cinema as well

CONS:

-The pacing, I feel like we should’ve spent more time with certain scenes rather than others, and the ending was really abrupt. I would’ve liked more buildup to it and more anticipation for the Fazfest, too.

-MY BELOVED WITHEREDS GAAAHHHH. BRO. WE WERE ROBBED. GENUINELY UPSET BUT I’LL TAKE ANY CRUMBS I CAN GET.

-Also, the ogs coming back was nice but SO OUT OF POCKET?? LIKE I LOVED IT BUT STILLL???

-You know what would’ve been peak?? IF IT WAS THE WITHEREDS THAT TOOK OUT THE TOYS

-The kills were fun but lowkey I couldn’t STAND them cowering in front of this slow ahh animatronic bro 😭😭 Like it’s not my BIGGEST gripe and I know ppl are gonna be stupid in horror movies but STILL.

-Speaking of horror, ONCE AGAIN, so much missed potential utilizing the physical Puppet and the Withereds. TELL ME THEY AREN’T SCARIER THAN THE TOYS.

But yea overall I enjoyed the movie a ton and I can’t wait for the third one!!!!

I’m actually dying cause I finally finished JJK season 2 today and holy shit.

But yea I’m dying cause I avoided spoilers for so long so during Nanami’s death I was chanting “NO NO NO” and “WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME” while pointing at the screen like it was its own fault.
