Okay, big authors note before this, thank you anon for the request, I hope you like this persona 3/4 arena x re9 crossover oneshot. I tried my best, I never really do crossover writings between two completely different games, so this might not be a full on crossover but i do have mentions of some chatacters from persona 3. And trying to figure out how old the reader would be was a bit of a struggle, so just imagine the reader being around 27 which is the age Ken would be in 2026 which is the year re9 takes place, I hope I did alright. Reader is Leon's daughter and is part of the Shadow Operatives run by the Kirijo Group (If any of yall wonder, she met them through Ken when she was participating in a foreign exchange student program and was invited to join them after graduating from high school) and is investigating a Shadow reading that happens to be in Raccoon City (I know the games take place in Japan usually but from what I looked up, there isn't anything saying that it only happens in in the locations that these games take place, so who knows, maybe in the persona universe these could happen in other countries).
As Leon is trying to find a way through the ruins of Raccoon City to get to the center and find Grace, he runs into someone that he never thought he would see again.
"Shit... how am I supposed to get across?" Leon muttered as he looked down at the giant hole in the road before looking up at the giant beam being held by the crane. The control panel was blocked by debris so he couldn't access the controls to drop the beam, and he had just used the last of his rifle ammo on a blister head earlier so he couldn't shoot it down. And he didn't have enough gun powder to make more. He could go back from the way he came from to go back but that would cost him time.
What was he suppose to do?
"Need a hand?" A voice called out just before the beam crashed down into the huge gap in the road, making a bridge across for the DSO agent. Hearing that voice made Leon freeze. He hasn't heard that voice in a long time, and to hear it here in the ruins of Racoon City, made his heart stop. Looking up at a nearby building, that's when he saw a familiar face that he thought he would never see again.
The young woman smiled as she used her grappling gun to make her way down towards the older man. Her evoker strapped in her holster, completely hidden under her jacket, and around her shoulder is a rifle that Leon could assume she used to help give him a way forward.
"Hey, long time no see." She greeted him as she put away the grappling gun and stepped towards him.
"Y/N, what are you here?" He asked as he took in his daughter's appearance. He never thought he would see his daughter dressed in tactical gear or handle any weapons. But to be honest he hasn't seen her in years, so he didn't know what his daughter was up to nowadays.
"Sorry, but I can't say. That's classified information. I'm sure you understand." Y/N replied as she handed the rifle over to him along with a key. "That key opens up those shipping containers that say BSAA, found it as i was searching around and found that rifle in one of the containers down the road. I got a feeling that you're gonna need it."
Leon looked at her for a moment before pocketing the key and slinging the new rifle over his shoulder. "Thanks kiddo." He said giving her a small smile, which Y/N returned.
She couldn't lie, she was happy to see him, even if their relationship wasn't the absolute best since he was always on missions as she grew up. Because of how distant Leon was because of his job and what he has been through and not telling her anything caused their relationship to strain, making them distant from one another. It was one of the reasons Y/N decided to participate in a student exchange program during high school which she ended up living in Japan for a year.
"Well, I shouldn't keep you from continuing your mission, take care." She said as she turned and began walking away.
"You take care as well. And just to let you know, even though we haven't seen eachother in years, and haven't been on the best terms, I'm proud of you."
Y/N stopped before turning back to her dad and she smiled. "Thanks... dad." And with that, she continued down the road, leaving her dad to his mission while she continued on with hers.
"Everything alright Y/N? Your signal stopped for a while right there." The familiar voice of Mitsuru spoke through the earpiece she wore.
"Yeah, just saying hi to someone I haven't seen in years." She said as she grabbed her evoker from her holster, nearing the area that the shadow readings were coming from.
"Alright, be careful. You don't want to get scowled by Ken for getting injured because you went alone." The voice of Fuuka coming through the earpiece next.
"You all know why I didn't have him or anyone else go with me." Y/N said as she looked at the bodies of zombies that laid on the road that she took out earlier when she found the rifle in the BSAA container. She couldn't risk her friends getting infected by the virus that still lingered in the city.
"Yeah, but still. Be careful and come back safely."
