“It is. Absolutely. But, um. Super cool to watch anyway,” she admitted with a quirked smile. Anyone that had a talent, really, she could get engrossed by their show of skill. Not being particularly adept with card handling herself, it was fascinating to watch the cards flutter in and out of his hands with a deftness that belied his practice. “But okay, okay. Not a magician so…why the cards? Just an old hobby or?” she asked, actually rather curious. It was rare to see anyone with a real card deck in their hands while out and about, rather than just an app on their phones to shuffle through games of solitaire. “Er, nothing too exciting on my end, I’m afraid. Just playing through some casual matches on Smash. I needed something to just…zone out? I’m supposed to be relaxing over breakfast, which…is impossible. Do you play?”
“Well, thank you, I’m glad I could entertain someone other than myself,” He quipped back, smiling as he did so. Emry shifted slightly before he answered her question, shuffling the cards as though he couldn’t keep still but in truth, it was just that he hadn’t yet settled down enough to actually focus, running off of a gym workout high still from earlier this morning. “Well, I’m a card dealer at the casino as one of my professions, so it’s just a thing of mine to keep cards on me. And, I have a difficult time not fidgeting so it comes in handy. This time though, I was hoping that playing a bit would help spark my inspiration for a design sheet-- I’m a tattoo artist by trade.” His hands and the deck had only just settled when she finished speaking once more, and he was about to answer when his name was called from the counter, announcing that his coffee was already. “--I’ll be right back,” The male uttered, moving out of his seat to grab the drink and come back. “To answer your question, no, I don’t play. I’ve always been a Call of Duty kind of person.”
