Changed my icon! I believe it's really classy now.
pink-haired-archer started following you.
Oh, was that Madoka? "Kaname-san, it's wonderful to see you!" she called out, waving as she walked over to her pink haired friend of many years.
"It's been a little bit of time since we've seen each other, hasn't it?" she mentioned. Indeed, Hitomi had been feeling a little left out by her two close companions... But, maybe they were just getting into new interests and had more obligations now. Perhaps she was starting to rub off on them? "Have you taken up any hobbies or lessons in something lately?"
Eldstar nodded at the girl’s greeting, appreciating their polite demeanor. Of course, the celestial being was very linear and respectful of his visitors. Mustache ruffling, Eldstar waved its stubby hand — or whatever constituted as a hand — as it returned the sentiments.
[“The pleasure is all mine, dear child. I am referred to as Eldstar, leader to the spirits of Star Haven.”]
Without hesitating, the star slowly floated over to the duo’s position as it gave them a very sincere, observing gaze.
[“Pray tell, is there a reason for your appearance at the summit? I presume you have one, Luigi?”]
"E-Eh, me? Oh no, not exactly… just showing my new friend around and all!" Not surprised at the younger brother’s reaction, Eldstar then turned to Hitomi with the same curious expression.
[“And how about you, Miss?”]
Hitomi didn't think she had a reason, just like Luigi... but, then she thought. Surely a star, and an Eldstar at that, watches over the inhabitants of this kingdom. Perhaps he could solve the mystery of just how she got here. After all, Hitomi herself had no information on that matter, having woken up in a field full of daisies, alone, lucky to find even Luigi to help her out.
"Ah, well.... maybe you could help me." the faded green-haired young girl spoke up, "I.. don't seem to have any recollection of how exactly I got into this land... is it possible that you have that sort of insight or information?". The inquiration left everyone in silence for some time.
This left her a tad worried. Maybe he knew nothing at all, and this had been just another mistake on her part, She hoped to apologize for any rudeness she imposed on the aged star-being. He seemed like someone who deserved the utmost respect and manners.
I'm sorry you guys for the unmentioned and long hiatus! I'm back now, and ready to answer all your Hitomi needs!
To be quite frank, Luigi hasn’t been here that much in contrast to Mario, the latter of whom needed to use to stop Bowser from taking over the kingdom. He was glad that this place came to mind, seeing to how Hitomi looked to be the more reserved type.
"I believe something’s supposed to happen right now… "
His brother’s recounts held water; before the schoolgirl and plumber, a celestial entity began manifesting at the center of the hill. Eventually, an elderly looking star came into view, though it was simply a projection. Eldstar, the leader of the Star Spirits, blinked his eyes at the upcoming travelers. He uttered out a soft hum, taking a good look of the two that approached the summit.
[“Hmm… it’s been awhile since we’ve had visitors. Ahem… ah, what do we have here? Mr. Mario’s younger sibling and… a friend, I see?”] Luigi, already familiar with the aged Star Spirit, nodded towards Hitomi.
The girl was astonished. Astounded. Was this a hologram?... No... it was communicating with them. "H...Hello.." she greeted the starry being. So, mushrooms, turtles, and even stars took the form of intelligent beings here. This was beyond anything she'd come to believe or learn about before.
"My name is Hitomi Shizuki, it's very pleasant to meet you, sir." the green haired female curtsied towards him, showing her manners thoroughly. She was raised to do such.
"Yes, p-pretty much! He’s always trying to, w-well… bother us, to put it simply." He sugarcoated the fact as much as possible. “But don’t worry, I wouldn’t really worry about him… I hope… " It seemed that Bowser hasn’t been showing his face lately, save for that one time Luigi deliberately entered his fortress to rescue Polty.
The stars descending from the heavens made the plumber realize they were approaching the base of the summit. At Hitomi’s remark, Luigi simply smiled. “You know, I haven’t been here in awhile, n-now that I think about it." Moreover, it could be a taken as a secluded area that not many people visited in the first place.
Eventually the duo would end up near a cottage that was based at the very side of the mountain; there were quite a few flowers growing around the front too. “Oh! And this would be Merluvlee’s House, who is a fortune teller. There’s actually quite a few of her kind living in Toad Town and elsewhere… "
"Merluvlee... what a pretty name... and a fortune teller at that... How unique, we haven't any of those where I come from..." the girl remarked as they forged on, passing the cottage as they scaled the mountainous, starry region. The sky was quite a view now, and some calming, vivid sort of aura was all around.
"This place is like nothing I have ever seen..." Hitomi murmered to herself as they walked together. The many shades of purple mixing together along the mountain and the star patterns seemed to mesmerize her in a way.
Hitomi Shizuki, led by the green-hatted man, made her way to the top of the mountain. It felt so high up, but she felt no air pressure. In fact, she somewhat felt lighter than air. Like she was in a dream.
Luigi began building up his pace again as he led Hitomi towards a bridge, one that connects with the vicinity of the summit. Indeed, the purple mountain wasn’t hard to miss as it loomed in the horizon.
"O-Oops, that’s right! I forgot to tell you… yes, Koopas are another species in the Mushroom Kingdom. They’re like turtles." He nodded at one green Koopa happily picking berries at a nearby bush. “Some of them are nice, though the ones wearing sunglasses usually obey orders from Bowser - who is King Koopa."
"Ah.... I see..." the girl replied, viewing the creature. "I suppose the king is more like a tyrant, then?" she asked. Hitomi looked at the male, expecting an answer soon enough.
As they walked, the ground got darker, the sky dimmer, but in a more extravagant than scary way. Stars seemed to rain from the sky. It looked beautiful. "Oh, dear... it just keeps getting more interesting here, doesn't it?" she commented.
"Eh? O-Oh, well… you know, I’ve never thought of that!" Luigi’s pace lagged for a bit as his mind attempted to dwell on the matter. “To be honest with you, I’ve never seen the king or a prince before." That probably didn’t sound sweetening.
But then again, it’s not like the plumber really hung around the castle much to see how royal affairs went down. It was basically just Peach, Toadsworth, the other Toads… and that’s it.
Luigi shook his head again. “A-Actually, the closest we have to a king is King Koopa himself, but… we’re not really on the best of terms, you can say."
The girl listened for a bit. "Ah... koopa? Is that another sort of.... 'being' in this world?" the girl inquired upon. She looked at the green-hatted man, when in the distance she was a somawhat shining, purple mountain structure. That mus be Shooting Star Summit, she thought.
What a peculiarity it was to her. There seemed to be many possibilities of amazing places in this land. So, who was this supposed 'King Koopa'?
"O-Okie dokie then, Ms. Hitomi!" Regardless, Luigi still maintained formalities no matter who he was around. Mitakihara, huh? The plumber may not have heard of it, let alone know of a way to get back there, but perhaps the local fortune teller Merluvlee had some answers. After all, she resided at the base of Shooting Star Summit.
"Oh, that castle?" He grinned, since the answer was obvious to him. “It actually belongs to Princess Toadstool, the ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom."
Opening the gate, the two would then get a better view of the castle in the distance. Luigi motioned towards the signature stained glass at the very front of the structure. "That would be the princess herself!"
As Hitomi listened to him, she found it humorous the names of these people and places, all referencing fungi. However, when she witnessed the stain-glass portrait upon the castle of the supposed ruler of this land, all her humor ended. "Wow, what a beautiful depiction... I do love stained-glass art, I must say, this Princess Toadstool does seem to have good taste."
The girl smiled at it, but then something came across her mind. "Princess? If she's the ruler, shouldn't she be a queen, though? Is there a king? Or, perhaps she's engaged?...". So many questions.
