No Work, I Must Pose
For the record, my hands are on the keyboard of my laptop... he is in my arms/on them and knows his fabulousness is more important than anything.
everyone will eventually come across a day that their body is at the peak of its performance.
WHEN
Today is B0B’s 9th birthday, about five years ago my mom decided she wanted to rescue a dog and she fell in love with him. He was half shaved because of fleas and other things and the vet believed he would not grow his hair back. Behold a happy fluffy boy with a name that my mom picked out (it’s a reference to something) who is the most ferocious 12 pound ball of doggo you will ever meet. Happy Birthday, buddy!

Dealing With Loss
A few weeks ago, I lost one of the people I care for most; my grandmother. She died of old age at 96.5 years and lived a long and fruitful life. My love for my grandmother knows no bounds, I feel her in everything... in the trees, the flowers, rocks and shells on the ground, hear her in music, and feel her love when I taste food I have cooked. She shared many loves and hobbies with me...
A love for music, skillful writing, adventurer’s heart, love of nature, love and skill for art (particularly sketching/drawing), desire for equality and social justice, and more.
I may never meet/know someone just as amazing as Carol Collins Robinson, my wonderful grandmother beautiful inside and out.
Only a couple days ago on Halloween was her memorial service (I am down here in Florida with my mom and dad helping pack up, clean, and more), and what a beautiful day it was. A few puffy white clouds in an otherwise clear blue sky, egrets and herons at ponds, butterflies fluttering by, and the gentle tropical wind brushing our faces, like a mother’s tender touch on her child’s cheek. We could not have asked for a more beautiful day to celebrate her life.
And now, as I sit here and write, tears gently slipping down my face, I smile at the memories I have of her. When I once played the viola (she played violin nearly all her life and gave lessons), she taught me finger techniques, proper form, and even how to play 2 chords at once. I remember her showing me a collection of notebooks, paper, pastels, paint, pencils, markers, crayons, and more, telling me to ‘go for it’ and ‘have fun, sweetie.’ Over time my drawing and writing skills improved, going from stick figures at the age of 5 to full bodies and faces at the age of 15 (I have a more cartoonish/fantasy style). I began writing poetry at the age of 10 and expressed a love for reading and knowledge the very moment I could read and learn.
I may be adopted, but my grandmother’s spirit connected with mine and we became kindred spirits. She is my true grandmother, for family does not end with blood, nor does it start there. Forever in my heart she will remain, never will I forget what she has taught me and how strong her love for me was.
Grandma, I love you. I miss you. And I know, up in Heaven, you are painting portraits of the angels, focusing on their intricate feathers, getting every single tiny detail onto your canvas. I know you are playing violin among the spirits. I know you have a camera with you, surrounded by maps and books. You deserve the best, Grandma, I will see you again one day.
To those who are dealing with loss, I am right here with you. The pain will not last forever, but the beautiful memories will. A few songs that are helping me now, some because she loved them, some because they remind me of her, and others because they are great for loss, are listed below.
Roundtable Rival - Lindsey Stirling (remembrance)
Leave Her Johnny - Michiel Schrey, Nils Brown, and Seán Dagher (played at her memorial, it’s a sea shanty)
Que Sera Sera - Doris Day (memorial)
I’ll See You Again - Westlife (for loss)
Artemis - Lindsey Stirling (remembrance and loss)
And if you would like to read her obituary, here is the link.

Writing Is Fun
One of the main characters in my pending novel survived a grenade. She did not go into shock. She did not cry.

So one of my over 50 characters I use, Jamie, is a werewolf. Frickulius, or Frick (yes I know the name is hilarious) is a packless werewolf and the two are a potential couple. Jamie’s alpha tasked her with watching over Frick. She did this by sitting in a pine tree and watching his house. Frick: *nods* You get cold easily, huh?
Jamie: No, I was sitting in that tree for six hours.

Dear fellow Americans:
The use of tear gas is a violation of the Geneva convention. Your police have gassed every major city.
False surrender is a violation of the Geneva convention. Your police have kneeled to draw protesters within range of tear gas.
Destroying and contaminating water is a violation of the Geneva convention. Your police have been destroying stocks of water used for the protestors.
Destroying medical tents and supplies is a violation of the Geneva convention. Your police have destroyed medical tents and attacked medics in various cities.
Attacking journalists is a violation of the Geneva convention. Your police have targeted and attacked journalists both native and foreign in multiple cities.
Your police are worse than war criminals, this isn’t even a war and they’ve managed to violate major international codes.
You truly believe “looting” or staying out past curfew is a valid excuse for actual war crimes to be committed against civilians?
Oh my god THANK YOU. I am an American and I hate what this country has become.
Skeletons probably use toothpaste to clean their whole body and not just their teeth
Please don't.
So maybe it’s just me, but it leaves a bitter taste in my mouth that whenever Chris Biersack posts about Black Veil Brides he makes sure not to include Ashley. This would make sense since Ashley left the band to seek help and deal with his own trauma and he was replaced by Lonny Eagleton. I love Lonny, no issues with him.
However, Chris loves to talk about what a big family the band is and how great the members are, etc. Yet, he when he picks photos of the band that are older Ashley’s confidently not in them. Sure man, the guy who wrote songs and was in the band since WSTW just is magically not family anymore because he had personal problems? I get he’s not in the band anymore, but fuck.
Don’t get me started on Chris and Any towards fans sometimes. OGs remember that drama.
I totally get that. I remember, however, a time when I sent a fan letter and Amy replied so kindly and sweetly. The thing is, Ash's departure seemed pretty sudden for a lot of even us dedicated fans because neither Ash nor the band directly addressed the issue. I DO miss Ash, but Lonny's a great fit. I just wish Ash hadn't been torn away so suddenly, us fans didn't even know what was going on.
