Posting it because I’ll change it and liked this one so it’s for memories lol. My life quite changed from the time I wrote this from now XD

Hello there~ !! Thank you for visiting my blog and taking interest into this little “about” page ! ヽ(*≧ω≦)ﾉ I love talking to new people, especially if we have the same interests ! ♥ Feel free to send me an ask or message me out of the blue to talk or comment ! (─‿‿─) I might be shy at first sight but I escalate quickly the craziness ladder if we get along (dixit my friends) fufufu~

But first, let me introduce myself ♥

I go by the nickname Emi * my RL name is Melissa if you really want to know *, and I have several other nicknames : Mel, Meli, Meli-chan, Emi-chan, … BUT I prefer Internet people and friends to call me Emi lol.

I’m in my early twenties, born on IWAOI DAY April Fools Day, and I’m currently a 3rd year university student in international relationships, taking the Japanese course ! ♥ I officially hold the JLPT N2 level as for now ヽ(*≧ω≦)ﾉ (and I’m going to wait some years more until I take the N1 test because… me cannot learn properly kanji and grammar OTL) I got the opportunity to spend a whole year in Japan as exchange student, and it was a marvellous and unforgettable experience ♥

Personality wise, I’m INFP (or INFJ according to the last test I took). I like more than anything being alone IRL and I suck at social events (= parties) (pretty awkward when you have want to live the life of a “normal” university student); but actually I’m pretty out-going and super crazy if you get to know me XDD I love much more talking to my online friends ♥

I was born and live in France but both of my parents are Vietnamese, which explains why I have an Asian face haha.

I’m living an happy otaku life. I’m a hardcore fangirl and I don’t even count the money I’m throwing to anime / manga / seiyuu related goods.

Also, I like yaoi. I’m a fujoshi. I try my best not to reblog much yaoi related posts, but if I REALLY like it then I might reblog; my favorite ships are : KuroTsuki, IwaOi, Kagehina, TsukiYama (HQ), Perfect pair, Golden pair (Tenipuri).

I’m also an hardcore seiyuu fangirl : just keep in mind that the light / love of my life is an absolute cutie called Okamoto Nobuhiko and that my favorite ossans of all time are Namikawa Daisuke and Yoshino Hiroyuki; of course I love more seiyuu but you can find the details on the next page ;-) Special mention though to my beloved Kiramune boys ♥

My current favorite manga / anime is none other than Haikyuu!! (volleyball boys ruined my life) and my favorite character is, since April 2016 (actually had a crush on him since months but only gave him my heart this year) -y'know in Japan, April is the month where everything is beginning and changing, and I think taking a year more changed me too-, Aoba Johsai’s vice-captain and ace, Iwaizumi Hajime ♥ I like to say he’s the ace of my heart ;w; ♥ (and the fact he’s voiced by one of my favorite ossans isn’t innocent); by the way, I should just stop doing my tsundere and just admit already Aoba Johsai is my favorite team as I have a crush on ABSOLUTELY EVERY REGULAR (tho it’s way more than a crush in Hajime’s case… and Mattsun is scary lol). I just love them so much… I like to say they’re not only ruling the court but also my heart haha. Special mention to my 2nd favorite in Seijoh, Hanamaki Takahiro ! >///////< I just want to mention him because he did absolutely nothing “unfair” in the series (in the contrary of Hajime who openly showed his tsundere side, and God knows I have a BIG WEAKNESS for tsundere boys) but I just got a big crush on him be like “Makki, you did absolutely nothing for me to fall for you but I fell for you anyway… WELL DEAL WITH IT NOW EMI” ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Karasuno is my 2nd favorite team by the way, and my favorite one is Tsukishima Kei in the regulars ♥

I’m in verge of failling into butai hell. The first stage play I ever watched was Tenimyu and my favorite cast is the 6th cast of the 2nd generation ♥ My favorite actors can be counted on one hand though : Wada Takuma (Tezuka in 6th cast 2nd generation of Tenimyu), Koseki Yuuta (Kikumaru in the same cast as Takkun) and more recently… an absolute cutie and blessing to this world; Asuma Kousuke ♥ (Oikawa in Hyper projection engeki Haikyuu) * should I mention both Yuuta and Kousuke are born the same year as me lololol *

How to handle Nakajima Yoshiki- instructions Please handle as follow~ ♪

A thing you like Clothes I think that something I'll like to wear doesn't mean it'll suit me. That's why I'd like to self-produce something that doesn't suit me but that I'll like to wear.

A thing you dislike Impolite people At work, I think the way of using words and making salutations (especially for people I've just met) is very important. I use polite language even with juniors when I first meet them; but if we get along, it's okay not to use it anymore !

When you want to cheer up... I sleep I'm quite moody so I'm forgetting all of this when I sleep; because there's no use to sulk over a past mistake as time never comes back... and when I wake up, I make sure to make my day better !

The type you like in the opposite sex A girl that behaves as a girl Since that person was born as a girl, I think she should wear something girly, like wearing a skirt, having long hair and such. I like feminity's visible and easy signs.

The ideal date plan Going to eat dinner If you're saying "what do you want to do next ?", there's an high chance your date will just reply "let's just head home" since you won't know what to do... so in that case, I just want to meet my date in the evening and head home after we eat dinner together (lol)

Someone you respect All actors apart from me The reason is "because they're not me". Actors are unveiling what they are like clues, so I think all the persons that have something that I don't are amazing, and I envy them.

An artist you like Miyano Mamoru I like Miyano Mamoru since my school days. He's a person I respect as artist and actor. I can sing all his songs !

Something you'll never lose at against anyone The speed I can along with someone I don't have any wall in front of my heart, so if I feel my interlocutor won't refuse it, I'll just rush without thinking straight ahead; after that there are two choices : either they'll like me, or just be utterly disgusted... (lol)

When you can't sleep... I sleep anyway ! It seems good to do something until you fall asleep. For example, reading a book or drinking hot milk. Listening to relaxing music can be good too. I like listening to Aimer's music.

The kind of cooking you're good at is... Italian cooking I'm confident in the taste (TN : of the Italian food he's cooking), because I overlook the profit I earn from it ! (lol) I can make pizza from the raw ingredients, and if it's italian cooking, I can make everything from the hors-d'oeuvre to the desert~ ♪

"I only felt anxiety when playing Jirou from IM@S Side M"

-- The character you're playing in Idolmaster Side M, Yamashita Jirou from the group S.E.M, has quite special traits. Jirou is a character that only affirms himself as "old man". The first thing I thought about when playing Jirou was how to portray that position in the anime. That's true he has special traits and doesn't fit in a normal pattern, but those characteristics will, in the contrary, make my own characteristics more visible. I'd like to focus on that point.

-- Last year's live (TN : Idolm@ster Side M 1st live took place on December 2015) was really magnificient; what did you think of it ? It was really great. I received lots of praises for my performance as S.E.M. If I were to speak honestly, I only felt anxiety since the time my role for Jirou was decided. Characters' movements and voices were implanted way after this, so when I thought that in everyone's minds, Jirou's image was already made, I got nervous... I'm quite the type to affront stuff with baseless confidence (lol), but I never thought that unveiling to the world Jirou's voice would be this frightening, and I even felt sorry when I thought that my voice could lead people to think it wasn't the image they made of him. However, the staff told me "you don't have to follow the character. It's okay to think of the Yamashita Jirou you want him to be, because you're the one acting him". The fact they told me that was a real turning point for me. It's a series I can learn a lot from.

-- In Ensemble Stars (whose anime adaptation was announced), you're playing as Nagumo Tetora. Tetora was a character I approached naturally. If I were to think too much about this role, he would've lost its essence, since he's honest and pure. Usually, I play myself the game to grasp my character.

-- Ensemble Stars is a series with lots of characters. That's true. Each of them are standing out, and they're linked may it be by their units, the schools or their classes, so I think it's interesting to catch sight of their school life. The total of characters including teachers and students reach 30 persons, so as an actor, it's really interesting.

-- Added to that, the movie you dubbed in, "Grand Joe", will have its DVD and release on March 18th (TN : 2016). Grand Joe is a movie whose story takes place in a city where people are poor. The boy I'm voicing in the Japanese version of the movie is Gary[...]. The actor for Gary, Tye Sheridan, is still very young (TN : he has 21 years old as for now and was born in 1996) but his acting had a reality in it. The way he looks at his father with a rebellous attitude when the latter hits him expressed sadness, but he doesn't hate him from the bottom of his heart and there is still deep love. I paid attention not to crush those feelings and telling them at the same time when acting him. When acting him, it's interesting to see until which feelings the actor is showing, and how to convey them the right way in Japanese... I think I focused on these points.

"A voice actor's work is actually the change of acting and not of the voice"

-- The characters you're acting have a large wide of age. Gary has 15 years old while Yamashita Jirou has 30 years old. There is a gap of 15 years indeed. People always say my voice is completely different from Jirou to Tetora, but I like to say that it's not my voice that is changing, it's my way of acting that changes. I feel like people are often associating the work of voice actor as "a character will have this kind of voice" and that only the voice's image will take priority, but I feel like that the work of voice actor is actually the change of acting and not of the voice. Obviously, it's important to have a voice's image, but I think one should take in account the character's personality or its age for example. There are sides of characters that are not displayed by the voice.

-- When acting characters that have a large wide of characteristics, is there anything you pay attention to ? First, I look at the character's design and based on my first impression, I tell myself "I think this character will have this kind of voice"; because if I go further, there is a risk the essence of this character will be crumbled, and the parts I'll have to look for by groping will just increase. Also, this is self-reflect, but I feel like my voice doesn't have any characteristic. I mean, it's not high enough to stand out, and it's not deep either. That's why, if I can't do lots of things, I won't be able to do my job properly. "How can I act with this voice I was born with ?" That's what is important to me.

-- From now on, do you have a vision on which kind of voice actor you want to become ? As for now, I've been given the opportunity to take on many challenges, may it be for anime, dubbing, games, narration, or even MC for events. I'm really grateful. That's why I hope I'll be able to accomplish more and more in the future. A voice actor's work is really wide. I want to let know with a loud voice that voice actors aren't just working in anime ! (lol)

In link to the program you're hosting, tell us an episode that happened to you around your 17 years old. I didn't go to the school canteen (since I was afraid of it), and I was eating every day cup yakisoba while making movies.

What kind of program is Yumeraji ? We have to make dream our listeners by doing our best in becoming first ranked voice actors.

Tell us how you met your partner (TN : Nakajima Yoshiki) for the first time. At the training school. I was his senior at that time and it seems we met when I explained to him the way to warm up. I forgot it though !!!!

Tell us an episode you'll always remember that happened during the radio show. I'm sorry I read wrong Yamaya-kun's name !! Plus it was recently.

Did your relationship (TN : to Yoshiki) changed compared to your first meeting ? Um... to be honest... not really.

What kind of feelings did you have while working on the joint songs ? I focused on how to convey the lyrics.

Is there something you'd like to do now ? Learning how to dance !

Which artist or song do you like ? The eagles !!

Is there someone that intrigues you in the other radio shows ? Shirai Yusuke. I really think he's a genius senior to me. I'm sure a double dare live would be interesting...

Tell us why you decided to become seiyuu, and what do you think you'd do if you didn't become one. I already talked about it in lots of interviews, but my main motive was "I don't want to go to school !". If I didn't become a seiyuu, I think I would've do a job linked to illustrations. Also, I think that I would've attended university normally.

In link to the program you're hosting, tell us what you're addicted to now. I'm addicted to the magnificient appli game that is "The idolm@ster Side M : LIVE ON STAGE !" (TN : ye it's really great I recommend it too !). Please play it too ! It's really interesting ! (advertisement)

In link to the program you're hosting, tell us an episode that happened to you around your 17 years old. I think it's the period I began to go to the training school of the agency I'm currently affiliated to. There were lots of fun moments but also hardships. I get along with the friends I made during that time even now.

What kind of program is Yumeraji ? A radio that'll make you dream, said shorter "Yumeraji". A radio that'll crush your dream at times, said shorter "Yumeraji".

Tell us how you met your partner (TN : Itou Kento) for the first time. He's my colleague in the same agency. But the first time I met him, he was my senior. Like you can see we have a complex relationship so I'll stop here.

Which artist or song do you like ? As seiyuu and artist, I like Miyano Mamoru and all his songs. Aside from that, I like band music such as BUMP OF CHICKEN, RADWIMPS and back number.

Is there someone that intrigues you in the other radio shows ? Takahashi Hidenori. This event was the first time for him so I only know he has a beautiful voice... I want to know which kind of person he is !

If I were to find something to tell for my lack of updates... I’d say it’s because of my browser ToT I can’t enjoy Tumblr as much as I was doing before because my browser keeps telling me the page is slowing down all my other pages LOL. As result of this, I can only enjoy the posts on my phone... >__<;;

Since I’m posting about it, I figured out I could as well give my POV on this case... As you may know, Namikawa Daisuke is my 3rd favorite seiyuu and I have endless respect and affection for him. There was even a moment I considered him a God as he seemed so unreachable... (but that changed when he pronunced my name at the event I went to LOOOL)

Tbh, I was really sad and disappointed when I learnt about it (because of my beliefs and my vision of a relationship a married man should have to his wife), and I really wondered “what should I do now as a fan ?”

But I reached the conclusion I should still support him because he supported me in the tough moments of my life; so which fan I am if I’m not supporting him in the tough moments too ? Of course, it doesn’t mean I agree with or ignore his actions; and a single apology from him won’t be able to just wipe what he did to his wife and the persons surrounding him... but still, he remains the Namikawa Daisuke I like, with his qualities and flaws; and I realized this won’t stop me from supporting him. He’s just a human after all, and also do mistakes. He overflows with human-ness, just like one of the characters he’s voicing and that I really like too ♥

Really, just like I read in some posts here, he needs more than everything our support; it’s not the moment to bash him or insult him.

All in all, I’m still a Namikawa Daisuke fan; and this won’t change because I like him too much T^T

Some of you may have noticed I was away from Tumblr the last weeks... actually it was because I had 3 weeks of exams and I wanted to cancel every distraction (I was kind of desperate lol) to study ;w;

But now this period is over so I can come back !! Even tho I began my internship so I’m pretty much working every day in a shop now, so I’m tired as hell when I come back home...
