okay, so since some people wanted instructions on how i made the belt chain, ill try my best to explain!
-2 split jump rings [often found on keychains or literally anywhere, i found both the ones i used on the ground]
-2 clips/safety pins/carabiners/literally anything you have that can attach the jump rings to your belt loops [i used two lobster claw clips i scavenged that probably used to be part of someone’s keychain in a different life]
-2 zip ties [also scavenged, but you can buy any of the aforementioned materials if you aren’t one for collecting stuff off the ground]
-cable of your choice [i used an old av cable that i thrifted] [if you want the ‘tail’ sort of effect, choose a cable with an end that you like; a 2 prong plug, hdmi cable, ethernet cable, etc]
shitty sketch and closeups of the top parts because description can be difficult:
1] essentially, take the cable and twist it into the shape shown in the sketch, adjusting the proportions to make sure it looks right. if your cable is longer than you’d like, cut the excess off at the spot where the yellow arrow is pointing
2] when you’re satisfied with the proportions/size/how it would sit when worn, take the split jump rings one at a time and loop the cable over them at the locations indicated. for this step, it can be helpful to mark the apex of the highest points to make sure you’re able to find them again if the cable unfolds while you’re putting the rings on
3] once the rings are in their correct places, zip tie the layers of wire together just beneath them [like in the diagram/images] and cut off the excess
4] attach your clips however you need [depending on the type used], and then you can attach it to your belt loops
hope this actually makes sense! if it doesn’t, ask whatever questions you need and ill try my best to answer :]
