Does HRT make anal feel better than it did before? Is the penis more sensitive, what about balls? Prostate? Also, random question but does hair grow faster? I'm considering it but want to know all I can about it first.
everything feel better than it did before. Not only in terms of raw physical sensation, but also the sexual openness and enthusiasm and willingness to be outgoing that comes with finally getting the awkwardness of dysphoria out of the way.
Just my experience, but before, I really found it difficult to relax and get into the moment. I was always nervous or anxious or shy or withdrawn, even when I very, very much wanted to open up and just have fun. It felt like something was in my way, but I didn’t know what it was, or how to fix it. I dealt with it as best I could, but it was still there and it really hampered things.
HRT pretty much got rid of that completely, and I wasn’t even expecting it to. I had no idea that was a manifestation of my dysphoria, although I probably should have put the pieces together: trans + feeling uneasy in bed = try transitioning! Silly Lauren.
Now, I can actually get really, really excited and try all sorts of new fun wild experimental things, and everything is just so much more hot than it ever was before. Instead of being worried or reserved or anything, I’m just very much in my body and there’s no disconnect anymore. It makes it very easy to open up and just be yourself. Sex is better than it’s ever been.
Specifically: Anal, yep, I’ve accumulated more toys over the past year than ever before. It’s extraordinarily awesome and I’m way more into it now and I love using all sorts of weird stuff. That’s probably due to being more enthusiastic about sex than any change in sensation, but there it is. Prostate-wise, that’s never really been something I particularly focus on, but it does feel great. Some trans women experience shrinkage of the prostate, though, so keep that in mind.
As for the girlcock, that’s definitely a change in physical sensation: everything feels much more intense, and it really responds in a different way now. Lots of trans women end up phasing out the old ways of touching it or using it, because stuff like Hitachi Magic Wands just feels way better. Imagine how orgasms feel on testosterone, but 10-100x more intense, 3-4x longer, and rippling all over your body. Trembling, thrashing, eyes squeezed shut, little uncontrollable moans… the best orgasms ever, basically. They do take more work, it’s not a 2-4 minute affair anymore for most of us. But it’s so worth it.
I’m not really into the girlballs and I’m planning on getting mine cut out, but if it’s your thing, it’ll probably make that better too.
Getting your testosterone under control will almost certainly put a stop to any male-pattern hair loss, though I can’t say if it changes the rate at which it grows. Some trans women experience it growing in thicker and shinier than before, while others report that it becomes more dry and brittle. It really seems to vary.
Altogether: In all these areas, I’ve found the effects of HRT to be very beneficial and I’d really never want to go back. It has made a whole lot of things in my life just immeasurably better. I’d highly recommend trying it and seeing how it works for you - you can always go off it if you don’t like it. Let me know how everything goes, or if you’d like to know anything else.
