if ur bi/pansexual
you can call yourself gay and queer (if you choose to reclaim the latter), bc u experience same-gender attraction
you’re not in a “gay” or a “straight” relationship based on who you’re dating unless you want to define it as such yourself (you don’t need to let someone else define it for you)
don’t be afraid to stand up for yourself if the validity of your sexuality is being questioned based on the relationship you’re in or if you’re more attracted to one gender than others
also ur cute

Andrew Wyeth (1917 - 2009) is a well-known 20th century realist painter from Pennsylvania who vacationed in coastal Maine. Many of Wyeth’s creations are American Scene paintings also known as regionalism. Wyeth’s work often had a somber almost melancholy tone. One of his most famous works is “Christina’s World”, which shows a young woman on her hands and knees in tall grass looking towards a house in the distance. The house is the Olson farm in Cushing, Maine. The subject in this work was Wyeth’s neighbor, Christina Olson who was disabled from polio, Christina inspired Wyeth. The infectious disease left Christina unable to use her legs. However, Wyeth used his wife Betsy to model the torso for the painting. “Christina’s World” is displayed Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City. From 1937 and to the mid 1960s, Wyeth created over 300 watercolors and tempera paintings at the Olson farm which is now a National Historic Landmark. Wyeth is buried a short distance from the house near the water in the Hathorn family cemetery with members of the Olson family.
My painting teacher in high school has a print of this painting on her wall and I absolutely fell in love with it and the story behind it makes me love it even more. I could literally look at it all day.
The sand cat is a small cat which lives in the deserts of North Africa and Southwest and Central Asia. With thick furred feet, they are well adapted to living in a desert environment. They have triangular ears with a large ear canal, giving them exceptional hearing. The sand cat has a bite force quotient of 133.1, which is the highest in all species of cats.
@marissaahhhh omg 😍😍😍
This is probably one of the most depressingly heart-wrenching photos I’ve ever seen. Native American children taken from their families and put into school to assimilate them into white society. the slogan for this governmental campaign ’“kill the Indian to save the man”. no official apology has ever been issued. never forgotten.
