Some will make the choice to start venturing out safely and others will make the choice to stay home. That’s the beauty and freedom of living in a free country! My husband and I dined at a restaurant last week and we felt completely safe with all the safeguards the restaurant used. I also went to my hair salon for a cut and color and was thoroughly impressed on how they had all new safety procedures in place. . . Here in Florida we have been reopening for the last two weeks and we are starting the next phase today. Our Governor announced since reopening our Covid 19 cases have dropped 14%. As we begin phase 2 today and more businesses are allowed to reopen safely I pray our numbers continue to drop. . . I think Americans are smart and small business owners can safely reopen with proper procedures in place and that their customers will gladly adhere to the guidelines sent out. . . Mothers deserve so much not just on Mother’s Day but every day. . . They deserve our hearts, our love, and our appreciation. I was blessed with an amazing mom and a mother in love. They both are beautiful women of God whom I love so much and or grateful for everyday. . . For those of you who are parents we often say that our children are gifts from God. In a similar way we can see our mothers as God’s gift to us too How?? They nurtured us. Cared for us. Fed us. Clothed us. Changed us. Bathed us. Held us in our best moments and in our darkest, hardest, and most painful moments. When we could do nothing, they did everything. Truly mothers are gift from God. But I know not everyone has had the same experience I have had. Maybe some of you didn’t have a good experience with your mother’s or you were raised in a broken home, . .one thing I want you to remember no matter what the past has been like ….God chose your mother to play a vital role in your life and that was bring you into this world. That’s huge . . think about that! You wouldn’t be reading this today if it were not for your mother. Even if your relationship has soured with your mom. . . she is the one that brought you into this world. That’s something you can be grateful for today. . . “As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you." Isaiah 66:13 . I meant to post this last Sunday and forgot but better late than never. I’m not sure why but when I wear camo I always feel a little sassy. 🤷🏻‍♀️ . . I’m not sure if that happens to anyone else....maybe it’s just me. 🤣 . . I also love to mix masculine with feminine. How many of you are working from home during quarantine? I have been for the last 8 weeks. . . Today was actually my first time back to the office since March. Over the last 8 weeks while working from home we had a weekly Zoom Staff Meeting with our team. I have to admit that most times I was in a halfway decent shirt on top and pjs or sweats on the bottom. 🙈 . . The day I snapped this pic was what I wore on last weeks Zoom call. I threw on the jacket to look a little more professional and they never knew I had the cropped wide leg denim or sneakers on. 😉 . . You might be asking what makes a dress a midi dress a midi dress? A midi dress or midi skirt is where the hem ends halfway between the knee and ankle. To me it’s the perfect fit and style. It’s a dress that can be dressed up or down. The other wonderful thing about midi length dresses is that you can wear them most of the year because of the length. Midi dresses are actually stylish in the spring, summer, fall and maybe even winter, depending on where you live. . . I chose to style it in a more casual way today because it’s been a little cooler, but I had another option of adding my red strappy heels, adding a dressier bag and removing the jacket which takes it up a notch for a totally different look. . . Motherhood Is A Trip! ❤️ . . It’s been a glorious trip of ups and downs. I gave birth to five incredible humans - Jordan, Alexia, Taylor, Landon and Sierra. . . Those five “birth” days were the five best days of my life. Have I been a perfect mother ...no. Have my kids been perfect ....no but that is where grace and forgiveness kicks in. 🙏🏼🙌🏼 . . Yesterday was a great day! We spent the day at the lake and it was glorious. . . We have been blessed with absolutely beautiful weather which has allowed all my windows to be open again. I thought this wouldn’t happen again until next November so this has been a real treat. 🙌🏼 . . I’m wearing a few things that my husband got me for Mother’s Day! He just doesn’t know it yet but he will soon. 🙈 . . The shorts and bag were a splurge but I was able to snag them both on sale plus free shipping which made it easier to justify. The definition “roam free” is to travel or walk about with no fixed purpose or direction; wander. . . It’s a new week and we are in the beginning of a new month!! . Today the state of Florida begins Phase 1 of slowly and safely reopening our state. 🎉 . . By celebrating the start of the reopen our family is headed to the beach. The beach that is closest to us reopened this past Saturday and my son and his girlfriend went for the day. They said that people were spread out but were connected or grouped by families. I’m looking forward to a long walk on the beach and the smell of the salty air. . . Also, I wanted to welcome all the new friends who have connected here in the last few months. Thank you for choosing to follow along and being part of this community . This Instagram road has a been a long, slow process of growth for me but I’m happy I made the decision to grow my account organically from the very beginning.
