Hi! I'm hoping someone can help me track down a fic I read some time ago. A younger Regina ended up in Storybrooke and she and Emma fell in love and I think they slept together, and as soon as they sent Regina back to the past/FTL, present Regina came to Emma and they ended up together (not sure if it was that past Regina's memories mixed with the present one or if Regina has known all along and kept it a secret until Emma herself could remember). the trouble with emma - very very well known within the swan queen community. i’ll be honest, i never really got into the story but i can acknowledge that it is the most well-written fanfiction i have read to date. the author is truly talented. (the first in a series of fanfics)

Just a thing I noticed:

Regina’s lost love, Daniel, gets mentioned a lot, and Regina is allowed to grieve and heal from that loss.

You know what doesn’t get mentioned, like, at all? Her as a teenager being married off to a 50+ year old man. Regina’s marriage to Snow’s father is always overlooked for the sake of the loss of her true love, and the earning of the title Queen. The fact that she was trapped into what was clearly an abusive marriage barely gets a mention.

Her husband was a manipulative, controlling, possessive creep (and probably rapist). He married his old girlfriend’s daughter, kept her as a trophy wife, and then in the backstory episode the script was written in a way as to make us feel sorry for him, and painted Regina as evil? Hell no. That bastard got what he deserved, and I can’t believe I had to listen to Snow whine about how Regina “murdered” her good ‘ol dad.

You want to talk about evil Regina? Lets talk about Graham. Let’s talk about Greg and his poor dad. That was some evil shit. But Leopold? That deadbeat piece of shit got what he deserved.
