How long do you think the Tourney and R.O.A.R seasons are?
Tourney Season
I imagine Tourney being a fall sport for the school (based upon my deduction that the VKs arrive to AP during the beginning of the year)
Sophomore-Senior players return to AP early for pre-season training 2 weeks before the school year begins in August (alongside the likes of the Marching Band, who're in Band Camp)
Pre-Season runs August through early-September (when they hold try-outs for the freshmen & any upperclassmen who want to try and join)
Regular Season: late September through late November (includes the Championship finals)
I like to imagine they then have optional spring training sessions (with maybe some skirmishes thrown in for fun) to keep in shape; especially if any of the students don't play any other sport.
Swords & Shields Season
Swords & Shields is a spring sport to me (based upon my deduction that Descendants 2 takes place during April, so spring semester)
Going against the Isle of the Lost book canon, try-outs in my HC happen in January, once students return from winter break. However, to incorporate the book canon, the tryouts mentioned in Book 2 are now clinics to get potential players acclimated to the sport and its rules (and give them the break to decide if they want to try out or not).
With this sport, no one comes back with a "locked-in" spot like Tourney players; this is since each team only takes 9 players, so the Coaches want the best of the best each year.
Regular Season: late February through late April (includes the Championship finals).

He used to be a member of Mad Maddy's Wicked Six gang, but he left about a year ago due to a disagreement with Maddy.
This is also around the time he started getting closer to Desponia Tremaine-Westergaard, whom he eventually began dating.
Speaking of his relationship with Desi... he's totally head-over-heals for her; Gaz would give her the world if she asked for it. Desi is also the first person he goes to if he gets into a fight/gets hurt buring a competition (because he knows she'll fix him up)
Gaz is an avid brawler. He's one of the top fighters at Gaston's Dules Without Rules and has only ever lost two matches in his life (both of which were against his twin brother)
Speaking of his twin, Gaz is older than Tony by 12 minutes.
Gaston II is also a proficient Croc wrestler, matching the likes of others like Harriet Hook. They have a mutual respect with one another over their wrestling abilities.
Gaz is obsessed with his appearance; while not as vain as his father, he's definitely up there. He's constantlt checking his reflection in the broken Isle mirrors, takes personal hygeine seriously (especially after a workout), and belives in "healthy/clean eating" (which he gets into even more once he can actually get access to proper food post D3)
He feels pressure to be the "perfect son", especailly being the eldest and "most like his father". Sometimes he goes too much into his head and has had to be talked down from the edge more than once (both physically and metaphorically...)

Tony is very competitive with his "older" brother, constantly trying to prove that he's more deserving of being their fathers' namesake.
It drives him insane that Gaz has stopped being as competitive with him about it as they've gotten older... He lives for a good fight/loves having a purpose.
In saying this, he tries to be a little too much like Gaston... Working at his Tavern, drinking the drinks his Dad likes, learning how to hunt (even though he hates killing), and keeping the women chasing him...
He enjoys playing darts (both with actual darts or daggers, whichever is available), partying, and running with his gang (the Wicked Six)
Speaking of his gang, he has a major crush on Mad Maddy, but won't persue it because he believes being "tied down" would make his father disappointed in him.
Secretly, Tony is insanely smart, but hides it so his parents and friends wont think less of him.
He's actually pretty protective over all of his friends and his younger siblings, even if he doesn't fully understand his siblings' personal lives and interests. However, he's a bit more of a present sibling than Gaz

Gil is a total Mama's boy (especailly since she's the only one of the Bimbettes to actually take an active role in their kids' life). He spent most of his childhood with her at home, learning to sew/mend; Gils more light/kind-hearted nature comes from her.
He's also the best out of the older brothers (even though Tony tries to be better since he makes everything a competition). Gil actually takes the time to fully understand his younger siblings' likes and interests, and he bring them on adventures/brings them things when he goes out around the Isle.
He's a little absent-minded most of the time. He isn't stupid, as many believe he is, but he just processes things like thoughts, information, and emotions slower than others do. Most of the time, his mouth speaks before his mind fully forms the thought (if you get me).
His favorite foods are boiled eggs (canon?) and venison
After the barrier falls and he and Jay begin to go on their, what I'm calling, "tour of Auradon", they learn early on that Gil is allergic to bees... (that was a fun hospital trip XD)
He enjoys exploring/adventuring to all places and environments; however, his top favorite is the mountains of Camelot (where found he has a deep love for mountain climbing)
He was childhood friends with Harry and Uma (which I think is canon because of the graphic novel, but I'll still add it)

Born to Laurette, but raised alongside Gil with Paulette since, in the words of her mother, "girls are just too hard to raise right..."
She was raised by Paulette for so long that she didn't fully believe she was Laurettes actual child until it was said to her face by her biological mother when she was ten.
She's cast aside by her father in favor of her brothers most of the time, as Gaston never wanted a "weak and useless daughter". However, in saying this, that didn't stop Gaston from constantly joking that he was going to "marry her off to someone rich because that's all girls are good for..."
This neglect by her father used to make Giada resentful, mainly of her brothers, but Paulette helped her through it.
She finds solace in being part of the Badun Detective Agency, spending more time at the base than at home to avoid it (and begging the Baduns for any case she can to stick aroud longer)
Very smart, inquisitive, and resourceful. She's a fast thinker, quick learner, and picks up on new skills faster than normal people.
Her favorite activities are journaling, drawing/painting, herbology, and detective work.
Once the barrier falls, she applies to attend Auradon Prep alongside some of her BDA friends. Both in hopes of gaining a better future, but also to fully escape the Isle and her father.
Looks sweet, but swears like a sailor XD
Adopts a kitten after graduating from AP and moving into her college apartment (where she would never have to hide it from her animal hating/hunting father)
Became a vegetarian after leaving the Isle; being forced to eat whatever mystery meat your father brings home can do that...

Meet the kid which every sibling is constantly asking "so, whos your favorite?" but he won't tell them (news flash: its Giada)
Unlike Giada, Gabriel was actually raised by Laurette.
He's constantly following Giada around like a lost puppy, so much so that she "put it to good use" and made him join the BDA with her. He's one of their top spies since he's so small and can hide practically anywhere to listen to conversations.
In saying that, he's also a massive snitch on his siblings... Mainly snitching on them to their other siblings, as he isn't really a fan of his Dad (or his Mom most of the time). Like Giada, he prefers Paulette, who basically became like an adoptive, caring mother to all of the Legume kids since Claudette & Laurette are absent.
Enjoys playing hide-and-seek (since he's so good at it), playing the semi-functional piano at the house, and learning to draw from Giada.
Has begged on more than one occasion for the family to get a pet, but he's constantly shut down (loves to go visit Giada's apartment once shes older solely to see her cat XD)
Speaking of his relationship with Giada, he was absolutely torn apart when she left the Isle to attend AP, mainly since he wasn't old enough to go with her...
Very emotional, usually wearing his heart on his sleeve. He's still very much a child, learning to navigate his newly changing world.
His closet is 99.9% hand-me-downs from the Gaz, Tony & Gil; this also means they're absolutely SWIMMING on him until Gil and Paulette help alter them.
Enjoys archery (Gaz taught him how), but he hates hunting.
Beomes vegetarian alongside Giada out of solidarity, much to the displeasure of his father.
