“No, not since college, god no.” Russell chuckled back, letting his glance bounce back down to Emma, looking over her body all too easily as they were able to relax once again. “I’m just letting you know that I could pop the question any time, so you should always be on your toes.” He grinned back, knowing all too well that he would marry her right then and there if the timing had been perfect. But, he also wanted to give her the most elaborate proposal too, something that she would talk about for centuries. “Perhaps we just need some steel-enforced furniture, not that I don’t love breaking stuff with you.” He lifted up again, before pulling himself towards the edge of the bed. “I won’t be long.” He disappeared into the closet where his suit was hanging, before he rushed to get right into it, happily reappearing before Emma to strut the suit off.
She waited for the nervousness to kick in at the talk of marriage, instead filled with giddiness about when it might happen. This moment of only the two of them could have been made perfect, yet the timing still seemed a bit off for such a proposal. “Guess this means I’ll always need to look my best at all hours of the day. I’ll need to be presentable for pictures when it does happen.” Her hands patted at the bed, looking down at it before giving him a playful smirk. “You know the one thing we haven’t broken yet? This bed. Seems kind of odd that we’ve broken multiple pieces but not this one.” Emma sat up as he left to get changed, keeping the thin sheet around her as she waited for him. A bout of laughter came out as he reappeared, wolf-whistling at him. “I think it’s official, I have the sexiest boyfriend in the whole world.” She crawled off the bed, letting the sheet fall as she stood in front of him, a stark contrast to his fully clothed form. “Now, as hot as you look in this, it’s coming off just as fast.”
