***(I like when the gringos get philosophical... this raises a lot of questions about individuality, free will, community, AI, sects, human connection, loneliness and conflict... but does not offer any answers in 9 episodes, obviously. And there's a second season, argh. Also, why did they dress her like a republican soccer mom?)
***(tenía a Victoria Martín y a su libro en el algoritmo, y cuando vi que había hecho una serie, yo hice una de mis cosas favoritas: leer un libro y ver su adaptación a la pantalla. Ana Castillo no es Bárbara ni de coña, pero funciona bien porque ella y Macarena García son amigas IRL. Y Laura Weissmahr es muy mona. La crisis de principio de los 30 ya me queda muy lejos, aunque tiene elementos universales para toda mujer. Es una lectura que no requiere mucho esfuerzo a nivel neuronal, y la serie bastante menos, pero últimamente no me da para más. Una oda a la sororidad en tono de sátira cínica (en plan light))
*** (this is some of the dumbest, most random shit I've seen in a while, but it somehow works. German kitsch is chef's kiss (Wes Anderwho?); it keeps you smiling through the deliberately cringy moments and gets you in the feels. Dimitrij Schaad is comedic gold. I need to watch stuff in German sometimes to not forget that the language and the culture are a part of me)
**** (un buen thriller de espías/drama familiar teutón. Bien producido y con unos momentos muy logrados. Netflix Europa aún hace cosas semi-decentes)
*****(sogooood! Old-school HBO, quality stuff. The thriller that keeps on thrilling. La Winslet and Jean Smart are superlative, and I always liked Evan Peters. Everybody in this has heavy trauma and unhealthy coping mechanisms (feels familiar). Now I have to watch Task, since it's written by the same guy, and apparently I didn't suffer enough with this one)
*** (cute and quirky, like an Alice but gothier?)
***(yet another Nordic noir/platonic cop duo thriller... nothing will ever be as epic as The Bridge (Øresund, yeah!))
****(uff, otra vez este tema para el que nunca habrá justicia. Pero me alegro de que últimamente tenga más visibilidad. Un buen tándem: Javier Cámara ya se sabe el nivel de "persona rota" que tiene, pero la chiki también lo hace muy bien. Muy desacertado el tema musical del final... aún no sabíamos lo que sabemos hoy)
****(original? no sé, hoy en día cuesta mucho hacer algo diferente. eduardo casanova es un pelín pedante, pero viene en el pack de niño precoz y altamente creativo. me ha gustado el formato, el humor sutil-raruno y el subtexto. el maquillaje y el diseño de arte son muymuy top)
*** (es más culebrón que Grey's, si cabe, pero está muy bien producida y también son todos guapazos con buen pelo. Aitana y Blanca son calité, obviously, y la jefa de las enfermeras es top. Nawja es muy borde, aunque haya sido la musa indie de la gen X española desde Salto al Vacío. Y rubia fatalfatal)
**** (so this is when everyone fell for Pedrito el chileno, I get it, I get it... even if Bella Ramsey is so impressive in this, such a natural, with her peculiar little face. Good casting, the other Isabella is so talented y Gabriel Luna está como un queso. The mushroom zombies are hilarious, but the level of human drama in this is seriously metal. Loved it. I also like that the "good guys" are either anarchists or socialists. Season 2 was also bomb. Annoyed I have to wait until 2027 for the third one)
**** (Very well-made mini documentary series; so interesting and scary how these huge corporations function. Always been an Adidas gal since I started bying my own shoes, even if I went to uni where they founded Nike. Such strong marketing behind the 3 stripes)
****(she has a cute laugh and gets herpes when she's stressed, her sister has OCD, her mom is an irresponsible hippie, her dad a spineless twat that gave her trust issues... a very relatable bunch of situations with potential love interests that take you back to your early 30s. Oh, what sex does to young, fertile brains... 😵💫)
**** (Luis Zahera está como un queso de riquiño y tiene una vis cómica que me mola mucho. Light, agradable y sin pretensiones)
**** (a ratos flojea un poco, pero qué seriote! La calidad interpretativa de estas SEÑORAS es inconmensurable)
****(argh, so good. A really cool story, and animation is so limitless to tell them well. Same people that made Scavenger Reign, I'm such a fan)
**** (Lena Dunham is such a guilty pleasure for me. Her characters always have the sassy remarks everyone comes up with in their minds AFTER the actual convos. And they're borderline obnoxious, if not blatantly. First episodes are fun, then it goes up and really down from there, but overall, I kinda loved it)
