Oh, thatās odd.
Because.
A fair argument.
Not happening.
Why not?
I think a truce sounds quite good now. But by all means, donāt stop.
What if I did?
I donāt know, youāve always been good at surprising me.
Well, I suppose that isnāt so awful.
Have I managed to persuade you yet or shall I keep going?
Mhm. Isnāt it obvious?
You know, I think I might have already known that. Or are you more brilliant than I thought?
Even more brilliant.
I donāt know about that. It depends what youāve got up your sleeve.
Oh, plenty of things. Iām rather brilliant, you know.
A truce? Hmm⦠Maybe.
Maybe? Well, perhaps thereās a way I could persuade you.
I was going to say how would you feel if I told you that you should cut down on books, but I thought that was too mean. Maybe I should reconsider.
I would much prefer hitting you with a book than throwing hot tea at you; though, Iād truly rather not do either. May I have a truce? Iāll even include a few mints as an apology.Ā
Not possible. Anyway, thatās mean. How would you like it if I told you that you should cut down on tea?
Well, I would have to hit you with one of my heavierĀ books if you ever said that.
Well the good news is itās a situation thatās remedied fairly easily, at the very least.
Fortunately, yes. Visiting another cafe would save me from quite the headache.
Iām not fond of tea; Iāve never seen the appeal. People seem to fall one side of another- coffee, or tea.
Well, I normally prefer tea, but I donāt mind drinking coffee at all.
hollyendeering:
Why do you think?
Iām not entirely certain. Perhaps my body will never be quite as used to it as it is to Earl Grey.
Surely thatās only the sort of thing your parents say to stop you from being naughty?
Unfortunately not, Iām afraid.
