Tell us a little about yourself and where you’re from? I am originally from the Bronx, NYC. I moved to the valley seven years ago for college. I mostly work in watercolor and illustration. I work with themes of the body and the intersections between sexuality and pornography. I like working in print media because I like the repetition of the medium. I like making art that is affordable to all people. What are some non-print related things that inspire you or you’ve been interested in lately? I’ve been really into flowers lately. I like collecting a visual inventory of them. My father has a garden and I like seeing all the different varieties of flower. The change of season and the faltering of beauty. What is some of work you will be bringing to the fair? Any new or recent releases/work we can look forward to seeing?
I will be bringing a bunch of collaborative projects that I have been working on. This year I have mostly been making work with another person. One of my many collaborations is with my friend Haruka Spring. We met on my trip to Japan and I became completely enthralled with her writing. We are making an illustrated poetry book that is written in both Japanese and English about the concepts of love.
