If there was one thing Emmy and Logan were really good at, it was holding their own ground. And while that may have come as a good thing individually, it led to endless bickering on other accounts.Though, over time, they’d both come to know how to shut down these tiresome conversations before they’d ever get a true chance to begin, saving their breath. Sometimes, anyways. Lately, Emmy didn’t have the energy to argue, even over the simple things, and she was certain Logan was feeling it just as much. It was easier to just let their concerns rest, and focus on the time they were able to spend together. A fond smile tugged at her lips, however, as she heard him speak, the long string of nicknames he had for their daughter never growing tiresome. She knew how much Logan had wanted a family, and how new this all was for him. Sure, she’d never been married before either, but there was something about having people to come home to that changed a person -- and she couldn’t get enough of the man Logan had become since Piper’s arrival. “I think we can probably find twenty minutes somewhere to relax, don’t you?” She offered softly. “I know there’s not a lot we can do, but even if it’s just putting her in her carrier on the bathroom floor, while we take a bath together or something... I think we need it, don’t you?” Emmy couldn’t remember the last time she had actually taken the time to throw bubbles in the bathtub, and actually relax, usually prone to jumping in the shower as quickly as possible instead. “We used to do that all the time.” It had been one of her favorite ways to pass time with him. “I’m still holding off on bubbles and everything, for now, but even just laying back in some hot water sounds nice, doesn’t it?” She melted into the kiss, as she always did, no matter how gentle or quick-lived it may have been. “Love you.” She whispered, stealing a second kiss, just as fast. She’d always said the words often, but she found herself letting them slip even more since the move. “C’mon, let’s get going.”
