Headcanoning John had like a journal or smth to write down life events because because I think it would be funny for J.D to be really observant to the point of author levelness but turns a blind eye to Tom’s schemes (only when it’s necessary for the plot)

That is a funny idea. John is really observant and is able to write it in like a college level essay then when it comes to Tom’s schemes he just turns a blind eye.

When I first read The Great Brain reforms, for some reason I was genuinely expecting for John to full on call out Tom on his bs. I feel like John should’ve been the final witness when Tom’s trial was happening. It probably would’ve been more satisfactory for me had John listed out EVERYTHING Tom had ever done to him, but I suppose him being the district attorney was fine too.

As much as I know John couldn’t hate his brother (its said like every other time Tom does a major scheme) it would’ve been neat to see him at least be angry about everything Tom has done, like his “attempted murder” on Jimmy and Howard being J.D’s last straw for tolerating Tom’s actions.

I honestly don’t know how the “attempted murder” on Jimmy and Howard WASN’T a last straw for J.D. I mean, I also understand that John couldn’t hate his brother but c’mon! He can get frustrated with Tom for this. Tom was being careless about the concerns of the weather anyways. I think it would totally make sense for John to at least call out on it.

All I gotta say is, if my older brother almost killed two of my best friends (even if it were an accident…a careless one at that) I wouldn’t have taken it lightly.

I just been laughing my ass off at this Great Brain illustration. I don’t why it’s so funny, I think it’s because Tom looks so serious and then Parley is just cross eyed. It also might be funny because it’s 12:00 where I am.

If anyone is curious, the illustration is in book 6 on chapter 8.

I know this is a very random post but I just gotta get it out. I’ve been watching this stupid show called Virgin River with my parents. It’s so bad that we cannot stop watching it. However, there is one character that I HATE with all my heart in that show, his name is Jack. I hate that fuckass accuse of a man. Jack owns a bar and never works at that damn bar, he leaves his three (well now TWO) employees to work there! Those two being a 18 year old kid named Ricky and Preacher (who, btw, does everything for that bar). Jack only seems to really care about Mel, which I guess isn’t the worse but at least care about the people around you! He comes off as lazy and selfish! I will admit, I just finished season one so I might like Jack more when I watch all seven seasons of this ass show. I don’t know though, I don’t know.

I think it would be funny if Tom tried to swindle Will but Will has "nothing to offer" for Tom and Will just does all the chores anyways and John quote on quote "warned" Will about Tom's schemes sooo uhh yeah

I think that would be funny and a bit of an interesting dynamic! Just Will wondering why everyone is so annoyed with Tom and Tom plotting ways to con Will. I like this idea!!!

If those damn outlaws didn't come in that one chapter of The Great Brain is Back we could've had the Fitzgerald Brothers literally being brothers (of course it might have been a relatively boring chaoter but it would've been neat because from I can recall Tom wasn't being a prick? At least not as much as he usually is)

I know! That makes so mad, those darn outlaws.

I would have killed just to see a chapter of just sibling bounding. I wouldn’t have found it boring, personally, I love building up on relationships. I find very sweet. though it’s probably because I have quite a bit of siblings myself a.k.a just three older ones (well it used to be four, but, my third oldest brother passed due to cancer. I guess I have my own real life Will Pennyworth).

Well, at least fanfics exist. I might write something, I’m not sure though.
